I cannot find which file or template controls
poll_posticon.gif
It's not under the Post Icon Manager
I searched in templates for $poll, and couldn't find anything in those templates
I also looked in a few php files and have found nothing that controls it's file extension
Any help on which file controls it? I tried poll.php, forumdisplay.php, and something else
Just can't find it.

I just did a search for "poll_posticon" in the vb files and found it in the functions_forumdisplay.php around line 300 and functions_forumlist.php around line 488. (What do you use for editing? Does it have a way to search through all files in a folder? That option may help you out in searches like this.)

No I don't. That was what I was wondering earlier as to how you did that.
How do you do it? Or if you know a program, please advise.

I use BBEdit on my Mac and when I do a search, it allows me to search in a folder (a multi-file search). It helps out a whole lot when I am looking for parts of code.

Most (good) editors will allow to search files and optionally files in sub-directories.

Yes, BBEdit is a mac application. Somewhere on this site, I remember a thread asking people what text editors they use. Maybe search out that thread and see the suggestions. (Although, now I'm kinda wondering if it was a mac text editor thread - if so, start your own and see what other people are using.)

Since you brought it up would you like to give an example, much appreciated.

I will if Marco doesn't know of one off hand.

It also needs to be changed in functions_forumdisplay.php from the Includes Folder as well.

Notepad++ is a decent text editor for windows. Syntax highlighting for a huge amount of languages and a bunch of little useful tidbits, including directory searching.

I am using UltraEdit but this is a paid product. But you will find also some free editors with this functionality. You might want to have a look at www.download.com (http://www.download.com) (CNet) for free editors.
