How to alternate colors in postbit_legacy?

Hi!

I already have this style in my current forum, and I want the same look when upgrading to 3.7, I got some help to do this the last time, but now i dont know ho to do it again =)

I want the first post in postbit_legacy to use alt1, and the second post to use alt2, the third alt1 and so on...

We used some programming to find out wether the post number is odd or even, but i don't know how to do this again (I didn't do it myself the first time).
Please give me some help
