Forums in Columns help

So I know I ask alot of questions, and also I see it's "not supported" but alot of people seem to have gotten this to work and I can't seem to get it

The mod is this one Forums arranged in columns (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=99829&page=25)

When I finish installing I reload to just a plain white screen, I don't know if a setting I have is incorrect in the AdminCP, or if I'm editing the code incorrectly or what. I'm 99% sure I've edited the code correctly, however there is one area where it says to "then add this new function to the file:" and maybe I am adding it in the wrong area, which could be causing this.

Someone help me out with this, as a fairly easy mod has gone bad lol

Remove the modification if it doesn't work then.

(On a side note: It is made for 3.5.0 so that is probably why it does not work. You could try searching for a new hack which has the same feature).
