Hello, I was surfing the net and found a nifty little thing I liked on another site I seen ( I hope it's alright for me to post links to another site here), but I was wondering if any 1 could shed some light on this, maybe even explain, or figure out how to do it my self.

I would like information like the following to be compiled into a html file, and coded above forums in Vbulliten.

HTML File :
http://stuff3.boxden.com/newmembers.html

Html File Displayed in the forum :
http://slumz.boxden.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29

Here is also, other instances of it, but with different information

http://stuff3.boxden.com/emcee.html
http://stuff3.boxden.com/jukebox.html
http://stuff.boxden.com/jb.html

Questions :

1. How are these files made?
2. How is the data pulled from VB and displayed (does it use variables or what)
3. Is there a way to make the files update themselves with out doing it weekly or so on.
4. Do I use the <iframe> to put above the forums

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time

Just use mod_rewrite, and rewrite PHP files to look like they are HTML files. All your "synchronisation" issues solved. :)

Thank you for helping me out I have read the above article and I do understand what mod_rewrite is, but for some reason, I don't think this is correct I'm not trying to change php files to HTML, but I'm actually trying to create these HTML files manually how ever they can be done (maybe using vb variables . and use a IFRAME or <if condition="forumid==XXX"> to display it above certain forums, does this make sense or am I confusing you?, sorry for the issues

... kinda like including vbulletin information in a NON vb page, then making the information from that page show up above the forums
