Imported users, now have duplicates

I imported a mailing list into my vbulletin forum using impex text file importer. I set it so that the email address is used as the username as well as for the email field. It worked great... problem is now that I have done this, users that were members of my forum and newsletter list have emails in there twice. How do I remove the duplicate email addresses with the associated account? I've been searching everywhere.

What is the format of the duplication? Is it an extra row in the table, or is there an extra email adress separated by a comma or is it something else?
