i would like to make a script that will track user clicks on ads (and record them) so i can award the users who are supporting the site

not limited to Google ads but it's the preferred one

do you think that is possible and how?

IIRC part of the Google AdSense TOS is that you not mess with their JavaScript so you might want to check that out. For other ads, you could make a link to a vB based script that records the userid and the ad clicked by passing the ad number via query string and using $vbulletin->userinfo['userid'] in the script, and then afterwards use header (http://php.net/header) to redirect.

On the subject of Adsense TOS, motivating users to click adverts might also cause you some problems.
