I have a custom skin installed on vB v3.7

www.midwesternphotoforum.com

My smilies, and edit buttons such as attach image, bold, italic, etc.. stopped working with the mouse. I can still put the smilie in the thread if I use the keyboard shortcut, but the mouse over is dead. Can someone help with this issue please? I found a couple of threads similar to this, but not what I was looking for.

Thanks,
Mike

Your style will (most likely) need to be updated for 3.7.

They were working fine for a while, it seems they may have stopped around the time I add the vBadvanced CMPS.

You may want to make sure you reverted your headinclude template since it has some added code dealing with the editor.

Could you guide me on how to go about that? it says "This template has not been customized in this style or any of its parent styles."

If it says that, then you should be fine. Have you tried uninstalling the mod you installed around the time this stopped working? Or, have you tried posting in the modification thread/forum about this problem and seeing if someone else encountered this same issue and how they fixed it?

Yes, I have posted all over for help. I'm hoping to get a reply from the people I got my skin from. The thing that is weird, is that it was all working fine. At one point my quick reply box had "undefined" in it, and that is about the same time the smilies stopped working. I read a thread here on what to do about the "undefined" message, but I can't seem to find it.

I have a second skin installed, and when I test with that one, the quick reply box is dead too. Can't mouse over on anything, only enter text.

Does it work using a totally default vbulletin skin? (create a new skin with no parent)

No, I can use the vB default skin, and it doesn't work on that either. I don't know if this is a java error? Like I said, I can insert smilies in advanced reply message box with key board shortcuts, but the box is not responding to mouse commands.

Did you replace or add any javascript files during the last modification? They are files that end in .js? Or did you modify any templates to add javascript? (Java and javascript are two different languages and it is javascript that you meant to say.)

Disable all your modifications and try again with the default style. It may be that some modification is adding code at runtime that clashes.

Nothing that I am aware of, but that is not to say that it didn't happen.

Thanks for the info, I'll continue to plug away at it.

Thanks, I'll start with that.
