I'm inolved at FanHome.com which is set up in six different categories for different sports and general discussion.

My ongoing problem is that I'd like to create one feed for each of these categories and their numerous forums within them (for example -- category: baseball and all the MLB teams as well as some general baseball forums). One can note that we have the categories listed as forums (http://baseball.fanhome.com for instance -- scroll down and you will see the forum is closed for posting) in order to have a more visible list on the main forum index at http://www.fanhome.com/forums.

So has anyone ever fooled around with the syndication of their vBulletin and added additional categories or sub categories and exclusive feeds to several forums at once?

Or perhaps, even something more in depth such as the posts themselves having RSS feeds? You can see this in action on blog softwware as well as on Wordpress.org and their help forums.

thanks

Use can query for certain forums with the RSS feed.

For example: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=15

"Can query" -- are you talking about a certain protocol or are you saying Users can query for forum id's?

Because what I'd like to do is have all the forums under a certain forum/category id be posted together along with providing the individual forum feeds.

For example, http://www.fanhome.com/forums/16_al-east (MLB's American league east) has five forums. It has it's own ID (16) and holds 5 distinct feeds/ID's (22-26). Yet the feed for this grouping at ID 16 (http://www.fanhome.com/forums/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=16 ) is blank. I'd like the ID 16 to have all five feeds showing up their, but I'd also like to have the 5 distinct feeds keep working for each individual team.

The top level of the category is http://www.fanhome.com/forums/3_baseball -- ID 3. But this contains 35 forum ID's. Yet I would love nothing more than to have all 35 ID's showing up at ID 3.

One other thing -- I see I can bookmark this threads feed. is their a mod for this, so you can subscribe toa threads feed? Because it doesn't seem to come standard with vb 3.7.1's external data tool
