Hello,
Because I am using a custom style that has replace the "standard" menu, I needed to add a "member blog" link to the quicklinks dropdown menu.
When I went into the navbar menu to make the addition I bumped into a problem that I have had in the past and decided to poke at it to try to understand it better.
I wanted to place the button in the Networking section at the end so I ended up with inserting the following code (which works correctly by the way):
<if condition="$show['member']">
<tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="blog.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$bbuserinfo[userid]">$vbphrase[Member_Blogs]</a></td></tr>
</if>
All of the other picks in that menu have "customized" $show values for example:
<if condition="$show['quick_links_albums']">
I would like to know where and how "quick_link_albums" gets set in the $show array?
I would much prefer to have my conditional statement to follow the rules and be consistent with the other code being used in this template. For example, I would have preferred to have my insert be:
<if condition="$show['quick_links_blogs]">
<tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="blog.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$bbuserinfo[userid]">$vbphrase[Member_Blogs]</a></td></tr>
</if>
I have searched a number of sites to try to find out how to do this without success and thought I would just ask the experts for the answer.
As I said, I have bumped into this problem before and have no good answer, though the solutions work, I am not sure that it is the most elegant way to handle the situation.
Any direction will be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
mikesz
