Removing Latest posts area

This is a picture of the area I am working on... I want to remove the Latest post/threads/post area, and the big forum marker, but how do I do this? Oh and I would like to remove the word "Sub-forums"

You will need to modify the forumhome_forumbit_* templates to remove those columns.
