Prevent Posting of Password Images

Lately, a lot of people have been posting images that are hosted in a password protected directory, so whenever someone loads the thread that they are posted in, my users get a popup asking them to input a password.

This sends people into a huge tizzy and I get billions of PMs saying "OMGGGGGG WERE GETTING HACKED!!!", from people thinking that we're getting hacked and stuff..

Is there anyway I can prevent the posting of password protected images without restricting the posting of off-site hosted images or turning off image posting all together?

Not really as you do not know from just the URL if the server on which the image is hosted has password protection or not.
