Append Text To A Post

How do I append text, such as "Posted from my iPhone" to a post? I can figure out the conditionals to get it to trigger or not, but where is the actual point where a post is stored in the database so I can append something to it?

You'll have to use the datamanager for this most likely.

Look for afterfl0ws banlist modification and look at his code.

That didn't really help as it's just showing how to append to an existing post. I need to know how to append to a post as it's being posted, or right before it's posted.

If anyone can help me I'd seriously appreciate it. Just point me to the right spot.
