Getting colors to stay?

I have tried reading through many of the articles and posts, so I am sorry if this has been discussed a ton of times before...

All I am wanting to do is change the colors of forum and change the header, but right now I am just trying to figure out the color thing, I know where to change them, but after I save them I can not figure out to get the changes to take on the forum?

Can some please help me, even if it is a link to an article to have me read...Thanks so much in advance.

Are you making sure that you are viewing your forums using the same style that you just changed the colors in?

How do I change it to my new style...I have added a new style and made the changes in there...what else do I need to do?

Go to your User CP and Change User Options (or something like that). And then change the style there. Or, since you are an admin, you can just click on the style name in the Styles section of your admin panel and it will show it to you.
