Hi, where do I put the javascript.php file? I think that's why clicking on any of the stations, deleting categories doesn't do anything.

There's no info in the install intructions where to put it.

Ignore javascript.php. If you are using vb 3.6.x, use the correct mod version.

Okay, so I have modded this slightly so that it doesn't open in a new window, but just opens in the same window.

However, when I add the Radio and TV stats to User Profiles, the link in there uses the javascript to open in a new popup window. Is there any way I can change that hyperlink to just go to the radiotandtv.php (as my navbar link does due to my change) rather than the popup? I don't know where to make this edit, as it's automatically added in when changing the "Option" to yes.

Edit: Okay, I found in the plugin where to do this. However... is there a way to edit it so that it opens in the same window, but also goes to the station specified? If I change them all to just the radioandtv.php link, it won't specify the station, and just open a random one.

Or, maybe just change the size of the popup window to match the size of the current window? That would probably be the quickest fix.

Can't get past Step 2. I had Version 1.7 running with vB 3.7.0. When I did the upgrade I get an error message and the script runs and runs and runs..., never completing. I did an "Uninstall" and tried to Install it new. Get the same problem.

Manually remove the tables radiostation and all that begin with radiostation_ from the database. If you export them and after installing the mod import them you'll keep your data.

Fresh install here. At first I thought that most of the stations didn't work and then I decided to try it on a couple of other computers.

All have XP, all updated. Nothing too out of the ordinary on ay of the machines.

But on my main PC I cannot see or hear nearly all of the channels. I even tried my admin login on other machaines and it worked fine there.

I have several forum members who are experiencing the same problem. The mod works great on my spare computer but not on the main pc.

Found the problem... if you don't set up a store with Media Player 11 or have Nero installed it sometimes causes WMP Networking issues. The easiest way to fix this is just to rename the networking information folder for the Player so that it can rebuild its networking information files after you restart it.

If anyone else has problems this is what needs to be done:

To rename the Player networking information folder

1.
Close Windows Media Player. (To do this, on the File menu, click Exit.)

2.
Click Start, and then click Run.

3.
In the Run dialog box, type the following (exactly as shown):

%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Media

This step opens the following folder on your computer:

SystemDrive:\Documents and Settings\UserProfileName\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Media

4.
In this folder, rename the folder 11.0 to 11.0.bak. For more information about renaming folders, see To change the name of a file or folder. NOTE: if you are using version 10 then you would need to rename the folder 10.0 to 10.0.bak.

5.
Start the Player and try to stream the content again. It should rebuild a new folder.

I'm having the same problem as above, for Firefox 2.0. Sometimes when I change radio stations I get the same message and the browser crashes.

I'm using Vista. I don't think I can use the plugin as linked to in the above post, because the latest version listed is for Firefox 1.5 and it warns not to use the plugins for any version other than what it listed. There is no Firefox 2.0 version available.

Suggestion: If a person has never used Radio and TV and doesn't have any favorites, have the Profile Section not be present (kind of like how if you haven't uploaded any Albums/Pictures, the "Albums" section on the right of the profile will not be there at all).

The firefox crashing issue is a known issue... that I couldn't fix yet :/

You can change the radio phrases in the language system. They begin with rs_ i think, it's on the install.txt file.

No :) Only 3.7 version.
When I click on a button (for example Add to favorites), I must refresh popup to see modifications.

To change radio station, I must do 2 clicks (click-left) on the name of the station.

This was on the first post, it helped me out. I think the first code is for the page to open within your board and the rest of the code is to add the header and footer to the page as well.

I am trying to change radioandtv.php by adding a header <?php include("/home/test/public_html/plugins/header.html"); ?> so that the Radio and TV page can run as an independent web page instead of popup.

It works fine with FireFox browser, but in IE browser I got following error and the page won't load:

About categories , can I divide these in more detailed way ?
for example , I wanna divide the categories into TV and Radio
and inside the TV we'll divide it into ( news , sport,music,.....)
then add channels inside each of them , and the same for the Radio

How can we do that ??

Excellent mod :). Installed on 3.7.2.P1 and working fine :). Added some of the station .xml files you linked to in your first couple posts. A good number of the tv stations are dead now, but bleh... I'm not too inclined to go thru each and every one to test em and delete the dead ones right now heh. Awesome mod for radio station listening though. Thanks man.

It doesnt affect your server load, as the stations are not in your server. Not sure about the rest.

Idea:

I would love to have the radio come on when I open the forum. Would be great if in the User CP or within the Radio/TV setting the player would autoload or after a certain timed delay the player would load (say...in 10 seconds).

It could pick up the user's preset option of a specific station or random station. And... :) give an option to open minimized or open browser.

Could say:

Turn on radion when I enter the forum. Y/N
Open the player minimized or open. Min/Open

(don'tcha just love-it when non-coders make comments without any idea of how much time it takes to make the changes)

Yes you can and I'm sure there are a few different ways to accomplish it but here's one of them.

You can add to the array shown (5, 6) with what usergroups you want to have access to view the menu item. Such as (2, 5, 6, 7).

The easiest way I know is to simply mouse over the station of your choosing and the link in the bottom left hand corner of your browser will have the id in parentheses.

Hehe. I haven't asked to use winamp in browser... i've asked how to use those .m3u and .pls that most of the online radio stations use. Anybody have a clue ?

Nothing opens when I click on the Radio and TV link on the navbar. I get a javascript error on my browser status bar and when I click on it I get "object expected" listed as an error and line 1 character 1.

I installed it as directed and everything went well. I set permissions for my usergroup (Admin) and checked all options/settings.

I've tried it on two different computers - one using Windows XP and one using Vista, both using the current IE 7. My version of vbulletin is 3.7.3.

Any ideas what may be wrong?

Great addon, I love the radio. I had this with no problems using version 1.1 when I was on vb 3.6; now I have upgraded to vb 3.7 I needed to update my radio addon. I did this and works a treat, no problems except how do I get rid of all reference to tv.

I dont want the tv function and liked the radio on its own, but 1.1 doesnt work in vb 3.7.

Any advice welcome please.

Where have you looked for permission settings? I haven't used this mod in a long time but have you checking in Usergroup Manager or vB Options?

Dream, this is a wonderful hack but only people with prior knowledge can easily install. i suggest for people like me, the install.txt should be a little more precise by telling exactly where to install which files.

anyways, i tried several things and then finally i managed.

some channels dont work but most work.

now if you can be a little more helpful in advising where i can find some indian or pakistani channels, or whom should i ask for, i would really really appreciate your help:)

my datadase is utf-8 vb 3.7.3

for example: "hello" in chinesisch is 你好（two chinesische character）
if encoded it in utf-8 is %E4%BD%A0%E5%A5%BD

but station category show me nur ??

zwei character is correct.

I haven't yet tested this with 3.7.4, but the entire mod system is separated from vBulletin, so it's a 98% chance it will work.

As for the template edits, you may be required to redo them if the templates have been updated from the vB version you are running and 3.7.4.

Let me and others know if it works alright for you.

A lot of people have asked questions regarding supported streams and nobody answers. I'm really really interested in installing this, but I have a huge architecture already in place and don't like to install things and find I have to uninstall because it doesn't work as advertised.

Can anybody note what video streams are supported?

yeah it isnt radio tv it was a general wondering. the previous version was 3.7.3 PL1, and even though i havent reverted, so far no problems. this is really troublesome to go through those changes once again and i have already forgotten how to do them:D

You have to have an actual stream url to do this. I tried with the source code from all of them and they didn't work either :( bummer.

This happens if the Station generates a SessionID in their URL. Of course Links like that can?t work.

Well they don't usually cause problems, but you might not have all the vb 3.7 features available if you don't do the templaye changes. :(


Biggest changes from 3.6 to 3.7 was definitely in the MEMBERINFO template. You might want to revert that one since manually updating it would take hours.

1.) I got a database error when trying to open a station which has been removed. When I try to open this removed station, I get following mysql error:

Another little error:

When I check my favorites, it seems there's on top still a blank line of the deleted channel. And when I now try to remove this line by clicking the remove button on the right, then I get an error popup ... (see attached screenshot)

Why do you need to open a removed station?

The favorite should have been removed when the station was removed, did you remove it directly on the database?

I don't need to open a removed station, ... :) ... but there exists still some links to deleted stations and these links causes these kind of database errors.

I know, normally the station will be removed from favorites when removing the station generally, but somehow, I got this blank line in my favorites. I am just guessing that this was a station which I deleted... I can not imagine why this blank line on the screenshot happened.

In the admincp there are options to run fix scripts, check if any of those fix it for you and let me know.

The cleanup thing? I ran it, but without success in both problems.

Perhaps I should export all stations, uninstall and reinstall the addon? ... but I have fear that people will lost their favorites .... or that the radio stations got other permalinks after reinstall...

When these issues are fixed, I would have another question: How to get the radio&tv block in the profiles into the new 3.8 privacy options. I'd also like the block in profiles not appearing if people got no favorites yet. If my PHP skills would be better, I would do that for you, but I can't help you in this case, sorry.
