Datamanager PMs

I saw a thread on how to create a post using a datamanager class (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=1408480).
How can I do this for PMs?
I assume I'd use this class:
http://members.vbulletin.com/api/vBulletin/vB_DataManager_PM.html

But not a clue how.
