Hi everybody,
what I don´t understand ist the way of caching. Where can I define to cache a page? Precisely there is one page, that I don´t (!) want to cache, because it needs to be refreshed all few seconds, but it seems to be cached because it only refreshes about every half hour. The page I mean is a module in vBa, but I am also interested how this is controlled in vB.
Best wishes, Julian!

I suggest you ask the author of the vBA module.

Well ... I changed some things at the module and I also want to know it for myself, for vBa and for vB, how the caching works. That´s why I ask for "how" and not for "please do it for me". ;-)
Best wishes, Julian!

How caching in vBA works, i don't know. Ask at their support site.
vBulletin does use a number of caching methods, your question will need to be more specific to answer it.

OK, there is a Hack which is called "Find all non-cached sites". I didn´t check this hack because I would have no idea, how I could cache a site, that isn´t cached yet.
In Joomla it is an easy thing: There is a general option "Cache on" and "Cache off", also I can turn the caching for a certain site on or off on the site itself. But I never saw something like that in vBulletin. Well ... exzept of the caching of search-result-pages. They are shown in the general options.
But however, I just would like to know how the caching itself works. I would have expected for example a little string in the template that would turn the caching of that template off or something like that.
Best wishes, Julian!

There are many caching mechanisms in vBulletin, from storing many options in a single datastore row in the database, storing pre-parsed templates to support for various OP-code caching software.
