memcached and windows 2003

Hi,

I run a decent sized forum (1.8 mil posts), 600-1200 users on at a time with a peak of 1600, 62,000 members.

Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise edition 64bit
IIS 6.0 w/ FastCGI
Dual quad core 2.33 ghz (8 cores total).
SAS 15k 72gig hard drives in a hardware raid 1
4GB memory
vbulletin 3.6.4
php 5.2.4 (x64)
Mysql 5.0.45 (x64)

trying to figure out how to install memcached on windows. does anyone have an idea?

Not sure if there is also a IIS version, but i think memcache is for Apache.

they have a win32 version of it. i have installed it, but i'm having a hell of a time finding a php windows ext for it.

You will have to go back to PHP 5.2.1 or wait until 5.2.4 is released.

With a beast like that (your server), CentOS will instantly kill Windows in performance.
