ok heres the deal. my forums have some problems and everyone is complaining they are slow now. i have broken links and all kinds of problems. now what i want to do is make site up on /forums now insted of /forum. and i want to install vb and start over. but i want to keep members and forum posts and forum layout only. well just layout of forums sections. now how do i do this with my database. like only keep forum layout and posts, and my members and info? please :(help now i want to do this tonight.

I would advice against moving the forum at all, and concentrate on fixing your problems instead. You say that you want to keep the Style, but it is the style that is most likely the cause of the broken links.

its not style i want to keep its just forum posts and section lists. and i want to keep members. its just i have hacks that i cant uninstall cause when i tried one it shut site right down due to something with global file. so is impex only way?

Then use ImpEx, it's the easiest of all ways, it even has a GUI for you...
