What do you offer your V.I.P'S/Donators?

so ive added the cyb donations hack...do you think this is best?

but besides that what do you offer to your donators or v.i.p's?

whats the best way to get them to donate etc and what hacks and stuff have you used.

I think a little donator-icon next to the user name or a usertitle "donator" or something lie that is good. some boards offer a "premium-membership". you have to pay 10$ a year and get a lot more functions in the forums.
e.g. access to special forums, usertitle, colored username, more pms etc.

It all depends on the content of the site. Who are they, How old are they, etc.
But making them stand out on the site does help :)

Do the usergroup color, I guess a custom title, User rank err... Um Offer them some special services

I let them in on Private Staff Discussions, so that they're able to actively contribute in what goes on with the forum in terms of development - only fair in my mind, as they've contributed towards that end.

Nope, I do it manually.

Not too many people request for the email addy addition anyhow. Some just don't need it I guess. When they do request though, it's usually for anuslaptops.com and only takes me a minute or less to do.

most people who are going to support your forums are going to do so, not for a different color name, or extra private messages, but because they actually support the project, and dont want to see it go offline.

Donating members receive special functions:

1. Donating member Title:
You will be acknowledged as a funding member and receive the Donating member title.
2. Additional Private Message Options:
We will increase your PM storage limit to 500 messages. You will be able to use message tracking and see whether your friend has read your message already and when. You will also be able to avoid to be tracked by denying all PM receipt requests.
3. Invisible Mode:
Disappear completely from the eyes of other members. You will see them but they won't see you. Nobody will know that you entered the forum or what you are doing.
4. Custom User title:
You will be able to change your user title to describe your pseudonym, character, mood, or orientation better. You can put there whatever you like as long as it's rule compliant. The user title is the title directly under your nickname in the postbit that usually reads "Silver Member" "Gold Member", "Platinum Member.", etc.
5. Expanded posting rights:
Newbie or not, you can edit your posts, give reputation ratings. Post polls like gold members can.

I have to add that I also offer file downloads for donating members. I'll probably add a donating member's forum once I think of something to put in there.
