I tried putting this in as my posting quick reply phrase. Using <phrase 1="$bbuserinfo[username]"> in show thread before the phrase and then {1} to call the username in the phrase and that does not work. Any suggestions?

Why dont you change the original phrase that would be there?

I did change the original phrase that is there. The original phrase is "Posting Quick Reply - Please Wait". I want to change it to "Thank you for using Quick Reply, USER NAME."

"Thank you {1}"

"Thank you %~1%~"
or whatever the ansi code is for the { and }.

I used exactly what you're typing out. Thank you {1} as the replacement text.

In the template, be sure you sure you put:
<phrase 1="$bbuserinfo[username]">
PHRASE_HERE
</phrase>
