We have about 3500 unique IPs a day. Not our tech person, so I couldn't give you the specifics about capacity, but it's a dedicated server for $135 a month - surpass hosting.

About 8000 unique users a day, two dedicated servers (one for apache/php, the other for mysql), and about 11000 peers at a time on our tracker..... $240/month.

I pay $330/mo for my dedicated server at ThePlanet.com (used to be ev1servers.net):

Dual 2GHz Xeon
3GB DDR2 RAM
x2 73GB SCSI 320 Hard Drives.
2,500 GB traffic allowed per month.

So far it has been more than enough for our needs.

I have 3 dedicated servers with ThePlanet.com. I've been hosting and managing sites for 14 years and The Planet is by far the most stable and professional company I've done business with. They are not the cheapest company out there but you absolutely get what you pay for. They are the number 1 privately held dedicated server hosting provider in the world (second only to publicly held IBM).

Back on topic... I pay $379 for the dedicated server my VB forum is hosted on. The forum is 4 months old and my sponsors and raffles more than pay for the hosting.

I have a small forum so I don't pay a thing :D ! I want to change servers to a 10gb with 10gb bandwidth, but that's plenty for me :) . But I get my current free hosting from Severspeople (www.serverspeople.net).
