Helo everyone,

I need to change my present Server because my forum continues growing quickly and I have two offers, one for for two good Servers and other for single a super Server, as they recommend?

Option 1 - Two good Servers:
Server MySQL:

AMD Dual Opteron 244
2 GB RAM DDR
HD 73 GB SCSI
1 Tb Bandwidth

Server Apache:

AMD Dual Opteron 244
2 GB RAM DDR
HD 80/120 GB SATA
1 Tb Bandwidth

Option 2 - One Super Server
Dual Intel Xeon Quad Core 5310
4 GB RAM FB-DIMM
2x HD 73 GB SCSI - Raid 1
2 Tb Bandwidth

That your think?

Is that a dual 5310 or a single 5310? Both of those Opterons listed are pretty outdated, they also lack fast disks.

We host quite a few large vB froms, from ones that have over 3,500 users online to some in the 1,200 to 2k range. The 2k user range ones do pretty well on dual server setups, one quad core webserver attached to a slower db server that has fast disks (4+ scsi drives in raid 10).
