i would like to know how, if there is a way, to rearrange some of the layout in the admincp navigation on the left. for example, i want to change it from looking like image1 to look like image2.
Is this possible, and if so, how?
EDIT: this should probably be in the design and template discussion forum, my apologies.

I am certain I saw a hack for this. But I can't find it. I'll keep looking.

Here you go. It is for 3.5 but the author says it should work for 3.6

thank you very much. i was hoping it wasnt going to be a plugin/product, im a much bigger fan of the template edits. maybe i'll read how he did it using the plugin and figure it out...
maybe it stores the layout in the database, and editing some fields in the database will work?

I am not sure. I haven't added it (yet I do plan on it now that I found it again) You could ask in the post :)

i guess in essence what i am trying to do is to do this without adding another plugin or mod. i am assuming that the SuperMenu plugin pulls the array for the AdminCP Nav from somewhere (database maybe?), and just allows you the ability to resort it how you want to.
something determines the spacing/grouping of the items in the ACP nav. something says whether an item will be placed alone, or next to another item, above or below another, etc. This is what i am looking for, that way i can alter the settings/layout there. I only have a few items that i would like to re-arrange, and adding a product to do this is not worthwhile to me.

It's actually rather complex. Perhaps I will write a how-to on how the menu system works. I plan to update cpSuperMenu to 3.6 now that I'm active again, and add some new features, so when my brain is all warm from that I'll crank out a how-to.

I see you have cpSuperMenu on your site. Does it work with 3.6?

Bummer of a mod :( I loved the idea, looked specifically for it for VB4, I just really dislike how when it is installed all navigation is collapsed by default on login. Would have been great if you could have had multiple collapsed, and select which one you wanted to have at the top and expanded by default. Hope someone makes the mod for VB4.
BTW, yes it works fine in VB4, just didn't enjoy the items mentioned.
