How do I include a query I make within a plugin visible inside a template - here is what I am trying to achieve:
$aid = $_REQUEST['attachmentid']; (gets the attachment ID from a url)
I want $aid to appear within the template, but how do I get this to show? I'm not too sure using $_REQUEST was right but from what I've searched it seems to be correct.....
Thanks,
Jason

I want $aid to appear within the template...
I don't understand. Print the actual attachment or just the just id? Which it probably isn't cause then you just could've echoed $aid within the template.

I'm associating the attachmentid to the postid (so a link can be created to the post with that attachment) - and I'm using a MySQL query to pull the postid from the attachment table, I'm still quite new with php/mysql so am getting up to speed - I'm just a little confused.
I thought I could only execute php in the plugin and not a template? I was trying to pass the results from the plugin to the template, but I don't know how you interpret those results in the template .... sorry if that sounds confusing!!

Just type $aid in your template.

Thanks, I realised where I was going wrong, I needed to parse it out in a phrase and not the template, was a good learning curve though :)
