Ok so here is my scenario...
I am currently running 3.5.4 on a host I hate---biggest POS in the world!!!!:mad:
So I have gotten another host and have installed 3.6.4 on it. So first off I am very new to the database side of VBB but not the actual hacking/running it.
So here is my question. I have modified all the templates and installed hacks in the new BBS. One thing I didn't know was exactly what was retained in the database and will be over writen once I make a backup of the database on the old site and import it into the new BBS.
So how would you go about inporting the database without over writing some of the work I have done? One thing I did do was make a backup of my default style so I assume all of the modded templates can be reinstalled easily. But what about the rest like the plugins and such?
