In photoshop, in the layers window, click on the eyes to the left of each of the layers that have to do with the letters of the title until it disappears. Notice that clicking on some of the eyes, will get rid of a lot of the connected layers, you don't want that. Just click on the specific eyes that you don't want and it will maintain the gradient background.

To get rid of the image on the icon, look for the sub-layer called gears2. you can click on that layer and then go to layers > delete layer.

I've implemented the right column and put the if statement there as well, but I'm having abit of problem as you can see, there's a grey line on the left and right side now.. and the left and right side of the forum look abit "out" of it's body.. and also the sponsor section look abit higher in other pages when it's standalone.

what else do I need to change? thanks!

Thank you for these skins, they are very smart indeed.

The only problem I have encountered is with the menu_open gif. The same gif is used to the right of 'Search' and 'Quick Links' on the navbar, and to the right of 'Forum Tools' and 'Search this Forum' links when viewing a forum. The gif is dark blue and is somewhat lost on the nav bar. I've attached a screenshot to show what I mean.

I noticed a 'menu_open2 gif in the images folder which is the correct color for the nav bar but it can't figure out how to use it on just the nav bar as the image is referenced through the original vbulletin_menu.js file.

Any ideas please?

Looks like you are missing CA Evo javascript. Make sure you uploaded js files (it should be in images/ca_evo/misc/) and you didn't remove links to javascript in footer template.

That is quite a nice selection you have there CyberAlien. I have noticed that our two styles are always neck and neck with installs. Good job on the style, I dont think I would offer as many color variations in my styles as you have in yours. Great Job. :up:

That's because you didn't modify CA Evo template files for that hack. This style is for normal vBulletin and if you have any hacks installed you should modify template files yourself.

There are 360 hue combinations, and 200 saturation combinations per hue for blue color, and the same number of color combinations for yellow color, so this style can have up to 5184000000 color schemes (some are similar, so real number is few times less). And when I'll update colorizeit beta website with latest code, that number will increase many times more because of new color editing options that will be there that add more possibilities.

I'm currently testing version 2 of this style.

Changes since version 1:
- many images were redone
- new header, that will automatically adjust for any logo up to 165 pixels high
- fixed some bugs in code
- new way of handling categories on forum index, so tables for different categories look similar
- better code/quote display: completely new look, and code boxes now automatically change width
- support for vBadvanced CMPS

vBAdvanced files: after installing style, use vbadv.xml to overwrite style. It will update CA Evo template files used by vBAdvanced.

There might be some bugs, and I haven't fully tested it with IE 7 yet. Please post here if you'll find any bugs in CA Evo 2.

Currently only blue color scheme is available, other color schemes of CA Evo 2 will be available when style is done.

Logo height is limited to 165 pixels, otherwise background under logo would be too small. Just make your logo smaller.

Blue Fusion is talking about vbPortal (phpportals.com), not the vBAdvanced portal.

It doesn't seem as if many skins on vbulletin.org support vbPortal. Mainly, only vbAdvanced. For example, with a lot of these layouts on here, you lose the vbPortal left column links on the forum home page.

Cyb, I love this skin and we now use it as the main, default skin on our forum. However after installing the newer version (After 3.6.7 was released) we have one problem we can't figure out how to fix. On the main forum display, we can see the names of all the category forums, but their descriptions do not show. This behaviour occurs even from a clean import. We are using the fluid style.

Looks like its not an issue with quote boxes, but an issue with what you typed there. Browsers can't wrap long words. Just don't use 100+ letter long words.

Word wrap has 30 letter. In IE7 all looks nice, only Firefox dont show it right.

vBAdvanced Installation:
Install normal style from fixed.xml or fluid.xml, in styles manager select "download/upload", put vbadvanced.xml in file field, in "merge into style" field select previously installed CA Serenity style and upload it. This will add vBAdvanced template files to style you previously installed.

I'm having a problem with missing images on my homepage (specifically the header background and the little +/- images to show/hide blocks)

You will need to change the theme to "WSAD" using the drop down that is at the bottom left of every page but have a look at http://www.wsad.co.uk/ and compare it with http://www.wsad.co.uk/forums/ and please advise.

Also I did expect the corners of the blocks on the homepage to be nice and rounded as the are in the forums, this seems not to be the case, is it possible?

So do we upload the UPLOAD folder to every subdirectory, or IMAGE Folder, or?? If we merely upload the upload folder, will it work? Or what about image folder, or all of the other folders in there? What is the parent folder to upload?

I generated a new set of colors for this using ColorizeIt!. Downloaded the files. Now, when I attempt to upload the new XML for fluid, my forum just gives me a "Creating Style - Please Wait..." message... and hangs. Doesn't seem to finish the process.

I've installed both standard Evo and Serenity styles without a problem before, but this would be the first I'm attempted to install using the ColorizeIt modifications.

Any suggestions?

Ive installed this on 3.6.8 and had no bugs until testing the PM system. I get a new box appear telling me i have 1 unread PM, cannot find a way to get rid of this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hate to uninstall this over such a silly bug as i really like the style.

Well - related to the 3.6.x release branch - I had it installed and running up to 3.6.10 without any problems, just - like a lot of people - a 3.7 version would be nice.
The skin works, some links aren't shown due of missing Phrases and like said already - Member Profile and Contacts & Friends won't work :(

What exactly is your problem?
If you are using vbadvanced cmps, then make sure your images are in the correct directory and it is sometimes required to have two directories for images.

Right click on an unloaded image and click properties, make sure that the images are in the URL the image is supposed to be located at.

If thats not the case, please tell us what the problem is =]
