you don't need to do any such thing to install vBA. it sounds like you you're trying to do something with a module?

so just run the install script and see what happens?

i think you're trying to install an older version of vBA... maybe 1.0 or something?

<a href="http://www.vbadvanced.com/" target="_blank">http://www.vbadvanced.com/</a> for the software... as for uninstalling, just undo what you did. i honestly have no clue where on earth you were able to download such an old and out-dated version of vBA in the first place.

personally, i would remove all the old out-dated files first and revert your system to how it was prior... but you should be able to replace them without worry. i still don't see where you could've downloaded the software from this site though. can you post a link?

and how when ppl type in www.heavenboundsoldiers.com/forum they will be redirected straight to the portal?

cmps_index.php is the portal page... you can rename this to index.php if you wish and discard/save the vB default. that way user will go directly to the CMPS when they visit your site. vBA will assume whatever forum style you are using by default. for the shourtbox, you will need to find the module for that application and install it.

that's exactly what you asked for above...
and how when ppl type in www.heavenboundsoldiers.com/forum they will be redirected straight to the portal?
well, that's what you got.
perhaps you should figure out what you really want and then ask for further help. i'm going to hand this off to someone else.

I just made the same mistake and had the same problems. This is due to the forum link displayed above:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?threadid=65797
Since this is apparently an outdated module, perhaps the link should be updated? (This link is riding above the entire CMPS forum, you should be able to see it in the index below your "User CP" bar)
