Hello to all surfers,
I'm in the final testing stage of a Dating Module and I want to ask your comments, suggestions and ideas. It will surelly has a free version plus a commercial one (but in a very low price).
Some points that you should like:
Intergated with vb in style but not touch any table.
Users can have different nickname (to keep themselves anonymus) but the module will use transparently normal userid and username
Users can have different email to avoid touching their normal settings (eg turn on receive emails just because of my module)
All values of drop lists are in seperate files for easy translation and changes. This has the positive point that you can reduce or increase the options (something that cant be done if they are on phraces), but has as negative point that you can use only one language.
The view profile page is much more beautiful than the commercial scripts. It dosent look like a technical specifications page, uses plain English. eg ..Tester is Male 40 years old, living in .... (see screenshoot). Also, thanks to the power of vb's conditions, is so smart that uses He or She depending on the gender:-)
Search can be done on Gender, Age (from-to), State, Country
Admin can approve/reject profiles
Should be a special edition for "Hot sites", which will support couple profile too, but real couple profile. With double questions, double photos in one page. No more ..."profile belongs to woman". And of course, question should be ...special ones (except if you think that "Have you children" is important in a hot dating site:rolleyes: ).
Of course dont expect to find here "Virtual Kisses", "Send a bottle of wine" etc etc. I can add them easily but I dont think that they make any sense in a dating site.
Now, give an eye to the screenshoots and let me know what you think and please give me more ideas :confused:
