The german version will be released in about two week, i guess. After this, i will remove all hardcoded text (as there still is :( ) and translate it all into english. I hope to finish the work in about a month.

The full version will not be free, although there will be a light version with lesser features.

This plugin will avoid the file edit on this hack. I'm using it on my dev site and I think I'm going to use it on my live forums.

Create a plugin on the hook "threadbit_display" with this content:

FIXED! Just needed to re-build my thumbnails in the admincp maintenance section.

Hi, hope someone can help with my issue. I'm not showing any rating info (Ex. stars, etc.) under the photos. There is currently no way to rate my images. What did I miss?

Also, some thumbnails appear while others still show red x's????

I just installed Gallery, and given the instruction, it went pretty smooth. The only hitch I found, and still haven't figured out, is when you create a Category, you're supposed to make note of the ID. I never saw an ID in vBadvanced 3.6. Where is it? Once I find that, it'll work like a champ!

Look at your forums-setting. If you move with the mouse over the forum, that is used for category, than you'll find the id shown in the status-bar of your browser.

The problem shown above is, that the person, who messed up the graphics, used the [attach]-bbcode of vb. You just need to upload the pictures, that's all.

I'm translating the new version atm, so hopefully the V2 will be released soon.

Alas.. So after Photopost & Photoplog this mod is also going to be the lite-full crap.. I'm sorry but i love this hack a lot. I'm using it because it uses the vB attachment system so that if something happens to the mod i will not loss all my gallery pics..

When I click on the gallery link in the navbar I get a PHP error on line 1023.

This line just contains the PHP closing tags ( ?> ).

I've ran a file compare of both a new default forumdisplay.php file and the modded one as required for this hack and the only mods made to the file are for the Gallery hack.

Don't understand why the ending ?> would give an error.

The install instructions say to remove the following code-

As you can see in the code above, the last closing curly brace either represent something outside of this piece of code or shouldn't be in the instructions in the first place.

Would the deletion of the last brace cause the PHP error at the end of the script (line 1023) ?

Kinda stumped. Might PHP be expecting that closing brace?

Searched this thread and seen nothing of this tho. Would of thought if it had been an eror in the install docs, it would of came up before

This is a great hack, however I have had to uninstall it from my forum. Whenever I have it active my server load and memory usage on my server spike up to the point where my server crashes. Has anyone else had that problem? I just looked at my server stats before and after enabling the gallery. Before the server load was at 0.2 and the memory was 66% and swap used was at 4.09%. After enabling the gallery it spiked up to server load of 4.31, memory to 82.4%. As soon as I disabled the gallery addon, it came right back down again. I am using vb 3.6.7. Any ideas or suggestions? I love the addon, I like it much more than photopost or photoplog. I would love to use it, but I cannt keep crashing like this.

I've installed it, but I'm now curious.. is there any way to make it so that when you attatch the image; and the image is a .png; meaning it has only one thing in the image, and it doesn't have a background, it stays a .png? As in, I want it to remain background-less, because when I upload it, it becomes a .jpg, and it's bugging me.

Also, I wanted to know if there was anyway to show the gallery on forumhome but not make a forum a gallery? Instead I want it to take all attachments from a certain forum and display the gallery on the forumhome.

I think I am looking for the same thing. I tried going through all the post but didn't notice a reply that addressed this.

From what I can see all the Galleries seem to be separate from the VB forum. In the forum you can post and upload a picture to your post. In the Gallery you upload a picture then post replies/comments. To me it seem like this creates two different systems that do the same thing (please correct me if I am wrong).

What I am looking for in a gallery is the ability to view all the pictures uploaded into different categories on my forum.

For instance, if I had an "Electrical" category in my forum I could click on "Electrical" in my Gallery and view all the photos that have been uploaded into the Electrical forum category. That way I have an entire section of the gallery that has electrical photos without having to upload them into the gallery (again, seems redundant if they are already uploaded/discussed in the forum).

Then if I click on my "Plumbing" section of the Gallery I will be viewing plumbing pictures because that is what would have been uploaded into the Plumbing section of my forum. No need for me to discuss/comment in the gallery, for me that is what the forum is for.

Does that make sense?

The mod, fact is home display plugin querry all thread. I install it in my website:20.000 thread and 200.000 post and the site go freeze. :(

So could you check the SQL querry and release a new fix mod. Because with current release, It 's only for testing purpose :(

2) There is no support.
3) The installation instructions are from an outdated version. (the installation instructions supplied will NOT make the current version work but it WILL mess up your forum)
4) It may crash your vbulletin so badly you can't get into cpanel to remove it. Then where will you be?
5) It is like a woman you meet when you're drunk: You will waste hours of your time trying to get it to work for you, then many more hours trying to get rid of it.

I am clearly missing something here and would love for some help.

Thanks for the heads up. I have been looking for a good album pack like I have on my phpbb2 board and I came REALLY close to installing this and saw your post, went back and your wright. Vbulletin.org needs to remove this mod and it's author for abandoning it.
