What is inserted upon new user registration?

I'm curious to find out what tables are affected upon user registrion...

At the same time, I'm looking to create a plugin that takes certain variables from the insert and place them in another table in my DB.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

A number of tables get updated, look at the user data manager code.
