Yeah, this is ready to work with 3.6.4. 3.6.0 is the minimum 3.6.X version that is compatible with this hack.

You can disable STG in both "normal" (limited) and "abnormal" (expanded) editions. ;)

The expanded edition has its own thank you system, and you should delete the one that you have installed. You'll lose the thank you's though, as we do not have an importer yet. We will probably make one soon though.

Hi Psionic, I just recently purchased the expanded edition and it's awesome!!! working out very well for myself, though members often post stuff as attachments as they're small size files. I ran a search on this thread and couldn't find anything relating to "attachment". Is there any way at all I can hide attachments?? I doubt it if it could be done directly because you can't wrap the attachment in hide tag, though what if you used the attachment id code?

If not then is there any chance this feature can be put into future version??? Hiding attachments is very very useful for my site.

I've upgraded from an older version (uninstalled the old plugin, then imported the new one.. followed the readme steps, and removed the old marked lines that I had added with the older version.

Everything seems to be working allright now.. however when clicking the hide img, it doesn't ask how many posts the user wants to set. It used to do that.

Im sure I made a mistake somewhere, just need a little head-ups on where to find it!

Maybe you can post lines 1200-1300 of your functions_newpost.php file? The error dispalyed is not likely to be associated with this hack, but maybe I can still help you.

You only need to modify files once for your installation. But you do need to apply skin modifications to each skin.

You need to first upload files, then upload the product. Then when you go to vBulletin Usergroup Settings and open a usergroup, you'll see new options.

I just checked it and Yes, with vb3.6.5 and vS-Hide Hack Resurrection ver. 2.80 the information hidden by SHOWTOGROUPS is revealed during a show-user's-posts search in msg. preview if that post is short enough to fit the hidden content in that preview.

When unauthorized user clicks on the post that preview reveals the hidden content (or a part of it) the full post appears and the protected content appears hidden (as it should)

I will update to v.2.8.1 and see if that issue repeats.

The updates required have been posted in this thread on every update - please find and read through those posts. No, it does not only work in Expanded Edition, but you do have to make sure that you do all file modifications correctly. Thanks.

Ok, here is a better description of the issue. If the user in question is not in the groups in the [SHOWTOGROUPS=xxx], they can see part of the hidden post if they do the following:

1. Look at a user's public profile who can see the post

2. Click on "Find all posts by user"

When the results of this are displayed a little preview of the post is displayed, and it is here in this preview that you can see part of the hidden post.

I have gone through the update and carefully done every single change exactly as dictated in the instructions, but this is still an issue for me. I am wondering if there is a place in the code of vB that is not part of the changes here, or if am over-looking something.

It's not supposed to work with portal without modifications... It's a vBulletin hack, not a third-party-hack hack. However, here is an integration guide:

I went through and made sure I have the correct version installed v2.8.1 for vBulletin 3.6.0 and I walked through all the file changes as specified in the readme.html.

Now, I am on vBulletin v 3.6.4, is that a possible issue? I have walked the code and it looks like it should be working.

Everything works correctly except:

1. If the userr clicks the Quote button, they can see the SHOWTOGROUPS codes and data within it

2. The user goes to someones user information page and searches all their threads, they can see the portion of the SHOWTOGROUPS code in the search results preview.

Is there one thing I could have missed, because I have re-installed the product and made sure the uploads and code changes are all done, but I am still having the issue? Is 3.6.4 not supported?

As a general rule, if a hack has a product and files that need to be uploaded, upload the files before you install the product. If you install a product before you uploaded the files, then upload the files, de-install the product, and the re-install it, after you make sure that the files are in place. If you pay close attention to the "Incomplete Installation" message, you'll notice that it also contains a solution similar to what I just said. :)

Do you have a custom skin? If yes, the images need to be uploaded under the folder of that skin rather than to the global images folder.

All you have to do is follow the steps carefully and dont use notepad to edit the files

If you added the code and your forum is displaying wrong before. Just Revert the Template or Delete the Code you added. Then redo the Template Edits, but this time use WordPad to open the file instead of NotePad.

with the normal php everything is fine, but with the edited it doesnt work

So I tried to make new key file but I cant login to client area. I used forget password form but it say : password has been send to your email" but I did not receive any new password or reset email.
