View Full Version : What URL location to use for Google Analytics Goals?
Hi,
I recently started using Google Analytics and I am wondering if anyone else here uses the Goal function in this?
I want to set up a registration goal and a subscription goal.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks!

For the register goal I used the following:
Goal URL: http://www.modcenter.org/register.php?do=addmember
Step 1: http://www.modcenter.org/register.php
Step 2: http://www.modcenter.org/register.php?do=register&agree=1
Don't have subscriptions on my board so, no clue
Hope this helps...
Thanks, that does help for the registrations end. :)
I will try it out now and post how it goes. Thanks!

The register form method is POST, "do=addmember" won't appear in the URL in the default vB install. You have to do a small template change for that to work.
kmike, do you know what template change this is? I noticed that as well after setting this up. :(

There's a nice 3.5 plugin that accomplishes the registration goal for you. Take a look at https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=101691.
Using this code it's easy to build out other goal urls. And remember, a goal does not have to refer to an actual page, just to code that declares one.
