I have searched and couldn't find anything to help me, but how do you put links in the banner.

Eg:

AdminCP => Styles & Templates => Edit Templates (of the style you want to edit)

Then double click on the header template for editing the header or on the navbar template for editing the navigation bar ;)

No, because the header template code of every style is different ;)

Honestly, just making yourself some buttons and editing the template will probably take the same amount of time as downloading and configuring a plugin for it.
