I get this error when create a new topic in one of over 20 forums, some users get it every time they make a new post or create new topic.

What may be causing this issue?

Ok, the bug with negative donations fixed, spelling error in line 89 donate.php.
But still no points for posts or thread, VB 3.6.8.

I know this is going to sound odd... maybe not... But I've got a second name on my forum with admin privies just so I can see if I'm doing things right sometimes.

I've gone through and tried to take away negative money from people, just to see if you can, and it won't let me, but I have a member who is able to take away money from other members, and she's non admin, not even a moderator.

Is there a way to prevent this?

Hey I am having one problem, I have this integrated on my board, any everything works fine. There is just one problem , on Vbookie events whenever betting takes place it does not use Icash , it uses the VBux , but you can see the icash points in the users profile. Can you please tell me what I need to do? Also ever since I installed this mod, now whenever I open a vbookie event it will not let anyone bet.

Thats probably not ICash, icash dosent use timers to do anything so nothing should be reset after a certain amt of time.

Just installed. While testing I encountered the following:

Left the registration point setting at 20. Understand this will only apply to users who register from now forward, so I donated 20 points to all existing users. I set points for new threads at 5 and posted a test thread. My iCash account showed 25 points. Then I deleted my test thread. My points went to zero as did the points for all other users.

Encountered another odd little quark ...

We're running Subdreamer CMS with a fixed-width skin. Our vBulletin forum uses the same skin. The skin has navigation tabs at the top of the page. Mouse-over on some of the tabs exposes sub-categories.

When I am in the main forums page (http://www.canyoneering.net/forums), the mouse-over works fine. When I am in the ICash page (http://www.canyoneering.net/forums/icash.php), subcategories under the tabs labeled "Programs" and "Resources" overlap. Same behavior in Safari and Firefox.

Assuming this is some kind of table issue. Is it fixable?

Okay, I have a previous version of this installed on another message board, but I was wondering what I need to enter to get the following to appear correctly.

It's basically the same thing you enter in your phrase for the postbit edit, but I want to do my own edits and can't find out what to enter.

I'm looking for the phrase for cash in hand. It used to be $post[money], now it appears to be $userinfo[$moneyfield]. However, when I put that in, the decimals do not show.

I'm trying to us it with vBookie by setting the money rows to 'vbookie_cash' as it says in the first post. Could this be causing the decimal problem?

Also, trying to work around that, I entered 0 for the amount of decimals to show and it showed the decimal but no numbers after it. Like, it would say '500.' instead of showing '500' as it should have.

great mod. one question. is there any way to run a report or something like for points per user during a week, or month etc... I ask because my site currently has active posters, but there is no "contest" at the moment. but the current users are building points. if i start a contest a week from now that the most points for the month etc.., i wont be able to tell which points are old and which are new for the contest. hope that makes sense.

my contest would be something like most points in the month of february wins blah blah blah... is there a way i can say show me total points for this time period?

Blaine, any ideas how I might be able to get the original version of ICash to work again? I uninstalled everything and started fresh with v.1.12, which worked great for us before. Now we get an error page (page not found) after clicking on "donate" when we try to donate an IShop item to another member. The URL on the "page not found" looks like this:

UPDATE:

Figured it out and we're up and running again, yay! In case it helps anyone else, I basically changed the name of the ishop.php file to icash.php and uploaded it to the public_html directory. It was obvious from the URL on the error page that there needed to be an icash.php file but there was none in the original version. Unless I'm going crazy, which is quite likely a possibility, too. :D Anyway, LOVE LOVE LOVE this hack, my members are going to throw a party to have our IShop back again!

Blain I encountered a weird problem.
I upgrade from version 2.01 if I'm correct to version 2.0.3-vb3.6 because I'm running vbulletin 3.6.8.

The upgrade went fine. First I enabled the automatic template adjustment, but then disabled it again, because I already had done it before manually and the money-amount appeared a bit higher when using the automatic one. And I like the money amount and bank amount coupled. No problem there either.

But I did not pay attention very well after upgrading because we use this for fun. However a user of mine now noticed that every user lost his amount of money after they upgrade!
Only the money stored in the Ibank was kept, but the normal amount of money was gone.

I myself had for example over 300 money, and now I got 40 again due to reply's I made.
How could it be that the amount of money was reset during the update?

If a mod or admin deletes a thread, EVERYONE's money will be completely deleted.

Oowzzz.... so that's what caused the problem. It should only take little bit of the money the users earned by writing in the thread.
Hopefully Blain can fix this fast, because this is a real pain.

Found another bug and also something I don't know sure if it's a bug or not.
Bug:
In the ACP when enabeling the "apply postbit edit" in the users postbit also a "donate" link appears. But when setting the "Can send money" to "no", all users still see the donate link and are able to donate money.
Same problem with the "apply navbar edit" feature.
Can this be made so when the setting "can send money" is set to "no", there is no donate link visible for this usergroup?
If that's too difficult, it would be nice to make the "donate" link a seperate on/off switch in Icash.

The second thing I see is the "Apply MemberInfo Edit?". I've set this to "yes" but does it do anything? I checked the memberinfo, but I'm not seeing anything about Icash or I'm not looking very well (yeah it's late over here). Could you point me to what is changed if this setting is set to yes?

It works on my setup. In the members public profile under User Notes, it displays how much cash they have and there is a "Donate to this member" link.

My problem is that iCash isnt displayed in Postbit (Ive tried enabling/disabling iCash and the auto template options). My members are complaining :confused:

I haven't enabled user notes for users, I don't see anything about Icash in the user notes section.

However when I enable the postbit edit, it will be displayed in postbit. I use postbit_legacy (profile left of posts) on my forum. I can't tell if it also works if you use the normal postbit (profile above the posts) on your forums. Or the other way around I always confuse postbit and postbit_legacy.:)

You could always edit the template to get it displayed in postbit.
Download version 1.1.2 but don't install it, just use the readme. In the readme of that one, it's described how to adjust the postbit and postbit legacy templates to display the icash amount.

The syntax doesnt seem to work, I guess its changed between versions.

For some reason, at random times all of my members money using this system gets wiped. Back to 0. I wrote a custom script to restore their right amounts, but i have to find the reason its getting wiped and resolve it. I looked at schedule task manager, nothing is interupting with it. Does anybody have any suggestions, since thid modification is a driving force behind my board's activity.

@Vinyljunkie: The donate code worked fine for me, I also used that one, but I've taken it out because I gave a user a few thousend credits for fun and then he went donating them to others. So I've taken the donate function out.
Users earn credits for posting and replying on my forums. They aren't worth anything but they can use them to play the arcade and play in the casino etc.:)

Read the thread. It's a bug in Icash. When somebody (anybody with rights to delete a thread) delete a thread, all users cash will get wiped.

I have a huge problem. I installed the mod and it was working fine for the past few days, then suddenly everyone's points got reset to 0 last night. Help!

EDIT: This seems to have happened because my moderator deleted a thread, and then it got rid of everyone's points :(

You have the newest version installed? I uninstalled Icash so I can't have a look for you anymore, but there is another way.

Download the Icash 1.1.2 zipfile from this thread. Do not install it, but this file has installation instructions. In those instructions you can read how to make the template edits yourself for postbit and postbit_legacy.

For those desperate to use this you can without the revert to zero bug if your turn off the option for the removal of points upon post deletion, this way at least for me the points didn't get reset. I do however need the points to be removed with posts so am going to take a deeper look at the code over the next few days, to see what I can find if I figure it out then I'll post my findings here.

Anyway, there is a bug in Icash, this resets ALL users cash to 0 if a thread gets deleted. So for all users, not only users which have posted or replyed in that thread.

Blaine002 (the coder) is not responding for a couple of months now to this problem.
That's why I went over to vBCredits which is running 1.4 rc2 now with nice options and a Banking and Loaning system too.

I hope for you guys that Blaine will come back soon. Normally he is giving very good support so I don't understand why he is not answering.

Sorry I dont know if this has been posted but I found a major bug (sort of). Guests are able to donate if they know the url. I know this because some joker on my forum has been donating vast amounts to people and now may amount is 999999999999.99 which is very irritating.

@All: I'm sorry, I'm not a coder, and once a while I can give a little support. I myselve changed to another creditsystem, but if possible I will give some help once a while.

I still cant find the bits in postbit where im to delete the Donate to member links. Infact they arnt there. I can even search all the templates for the word "donate" and only the donat.php file shows up. With no options in it to remove the links. I also turnt off the forum permissions too and still the links are there.

Any other suggestions? Maybe it needs an xml file edit, but im no good at all of that stuff

Ok I managed to remove all donate links

You need to go to plugin manager and edit each template that has a donate link in it. Or disable the plugin script.

NOW only problem left is when you have points for posts on and delete a point if post is deleted all points are removed

Will there be a fix for this in the future? Lets hope so.

So I disabled the Negate points if deleted option and all seems to work fine.

Strange, there should be a template called Icash_donate because I find this in the product xml file:
template name="ICash_Donate" templatetype="template.. etc.

Anyway, I'm sure in the Icash settings in the AdminCP is a yes/no option to NOT use the postbit changes. This should be set to no. Then the donate option is gone.
Don't forget to remove the donate.php from your forums directory.

If you really can't find it, I think you can delete this line from the product xml file, but this is not advisable, I would suggest not to use this method:
Find this line in the product-icash.xml:
<plugin active="1" executionorder="5">
<title>ICash Postbit Edit</title>

Change it to:
<plugin active="0" executionorder="5">
<title>ICash Postbit Edit</title>

After that, reimport the product file and don't forget to put "overwrite" to "yes".

Now all postbit editting is gone, also the display of the amound of cash a user has.
If you want that part back, use my suggestion from my previous reply, to use the documentation in the 1.1.2 zip on how to make a postbit(_legacy) edit manually.

Again I would not advise to change product-xml files, use at your own risk.

Not as long Blaine is not back. I'm not a coder, I just used Icash in the past and try to support it a little bit as far as I can, for users which still use it.
They might benefit from the experience I have with Icash, but I'm not an official supporter.
The only one who can fix bugs is Blaine0002 and I don't have a clue when he will be back, sorry.

There is a setting that negates point when a thread is deleted, i wonder if disabling that will make this fix. The moderators can always manually deduct the cash before deleting a thread.

I did not try the idea you have, and I can't anymore because I uninstalled Icash and Ibank.

As for paid subscriptions, it should work modified, but its not built in.

Man...alot of the problems you guys are having would be fixed if you just searched the thread instead of just posting and waiting for an answer. The answers to about the past three pages of questions is within this thread.

There is no fix currently for the money reset problem...it happens anytime you delete a thread...it resets all users. That's why your user's accounts are going back to 0.

chiggy, try downloading 1.1.2 and get the instructions from that. Seiyaboy, not sure about that one...you'd most likely have to include the coding for that variable within that template. I'm no coder though...I just know that things that only work for the postbit have to be reworked if you want to show them elsewhere.
