Hello sinisterpain. I'd like to see what you did, if possible. I might install vbookie on my icash-enabled forum, and had the idea that it wouldn't require editing of vbookie code.

No I do have it on hand cant install the bank because for some reason it doesnt let u open ur account when I installed the bank it kept saying my bank account was closed and I cudnt find ut how to open it.

I'd like to have an option in the admincp that lets me select a certain usergroup/usergroups, to which I can reset/override each member's money to whatever I want it to be.

I'm using icash as my money system on vb 3.6.4.

I see that icash already has a feature that lets you donate to certain members/usergroups from the admincp. The difference being is that with the current feature you are "adding to" the users current money, rather than "overriding with" the new value.

Is this possible?

I want to run monthly lottery contests in conjunction with this hack. Is it possible that an add-on could be included where the points of each member could be collected after X number of days and converted into tickets for a lottery?

For example:

1 point = 1 ticket
100 points = 2 tickets
500 points = 3 tickets

This is a great hack! I love it on my forums. I'm going to install VBookie soon and I'm so glad that it works in combination with ICash.

Got one question tho. Could someone give me some advice on what numbers to fill in @ Points per character, Points per thread and Points per reply? I don't want users to get thousands of posts in no time. With this in mind, could anyone give me some tips on what to fill in? Would really appreciate it, many thanks in advance.

We are waiting for that plugin too. With those two changes this mod can be a full replacement for vbbux.

Question: If member made 5 points by posting a reply, will the system remove those 5 points if that reply is deleted by that user or mod/admin?

Whenever I donate money, I keep getting a message that I do not have enough money,

I also installed Ishop, and when I want to buy it says I don't have enough money.

I can donate money to users from the Admincp but the system does not recognoze it.

I installed with 3.6.4 earlier tonight with only very minor wrinkles, mostly related to postbit templates and skins. There's some behavior I'm yet to understand, but I suspect it's my unfamiliarity with the mod and that it is working fine. The install ran flawlessly.

Came here looking for integration to ibProarcade and see there's lots to wade through. Could anyone direct me to a post providing direction on this. I see something has been in the works, but haven't found anything definitive.

We had this feature in vbbux and in some cases user balances did become negative. It didn't brake anything. It just didn't let those users to buy anything in vbplaza until they earned enough points by posting to cover the negative balance.

Please let me know if you can add this option to your plugin. With this option your add-on will become the perfect and secure alternative to vbbux.

I think I have a problem, maybe it's a bug, maybe I'm doing something wrong. I upgraded from 1.01 to this 1.02 version.

Now I go to my admincp in ICASH and see the following

Activate points per thread/post which can be switched to yes or no.
In the previous version, when switched to yes, I could set the amount of cash to be given for each new thread/post. This options is gone with 1.02.

Same problem goes for "Activate points per character".

The only amount which can be set is for registration and referral.

How can this be fixed?

Furthermore I read in the update mail:
and added system to where you can edit the amount of points a person can get for each individual forum.
Can't find this anywhere in the Admincp.

You don't need to edit every single forum if you want the same amount on every forum! If you just edit the categories, then the same amount of points will go the forum below it :)

I installed with 3.6.4 earlier tonight with only very minor wrinkles, mostly related to postbit templates and skins. There's some behavior I'm yet to understand, but I suspect it's my unfamiliarity with the mod and that it is working fine. The install ran flawlessly.

Came here looking for integration to ibProarcade and see there's lots to wade through. Could anyone direct me to a post providing direction on this. I see something has been in the works, but haven't found anything definitive.

it is actually very easy to add points for different actions people do ont he forums, i am going to cover voting on a poll.
Create a new plugin and call it : ICash Poll
The hooklocation should probably be : pollvotedata_postsave
and the code should look somthing like this

$amount = '1';
$vbulletin->db->query("update " . TABLE_PREFIX . "user set {$vbulletin->options['icashf']}={$vbulletin->options['icashf']}+'{$amount}' where userid='{$vbulletin->userinfo['userid']}'");

now just set the $amount variable to the amount you want to give to the voter.

simple as that, you simply have to know what hook is located where.

if you wanted to subtract points all you would need to do is change + to - in the php code.

Yes, points per thread/reply is enabled in "ICash settings" and points are set as per forum under "Forum Manager".

Points per character, points for referring, points for registration all work fine.

The only problem is when points per character is disabled and points per thread/reply is enabled. The points just don't get added and there is no error at all.

Yes, i did overwrite. And I just tried overwriting every files and importing/overwriting with 1.02 again and the same problem still exists.

heres what each individual thing does
$amount is set to whatever you want your games to cost, you need to set this

this checks the money row, and sees if they have enough to play the game, if not, ERROR!
of course you will need to make a new error phrase and edit the code to whatever you named your phrase.

Well... since we're busy, I'm back with another question or rather a suggestion.:)

I have a suggestion for future Icash updates, the following things would be nice.
1.) An option do disable the possibility for members to donate money to each other, so only admin can donate money to an account.

2.) An option to edit users credits, which means substract credits from a users account or change the amount. There is already an option to donate in the ACP so an option to subtract or edit should not be that hard I guess.;)
Would be nice if this could also be done per usergroup like the donate option.

A question then. Different users have different amounts of money. Now I would like to reset all to zero, some have 100 cash, some 3000. Suppose I would use the usergroup option and set it to -4000 (which would mean that would be 1000 more then a user has), would this reset all credits for the usergroup to 0?

And if yes can I build it up again from scratch? Let's say buy giving everybody a standard of 50 credits and then have the postcounters rerun to let the forum calculate how much credits are added for the amount of posts they alraedy made?

Money: -1585
And so on with other values, everybody got substracted 5000.:(

Etc. because everybody has different amounts of money. How can I set it now so everybody has 0 Money? Is there a Mysql command I can use for that?

Used Sinisterpain's iCash enabled files for vBookie... seems to be working perfectly.

Kudos to Sinisterpain for posting the files. Unlike a few of the hack forums, there's a strong positive spirit of support and cooperation here.

With the other cash, banking and shop hacks seeming to be dead, Blaine and others have really stepped up in support of the vB user community. This hack should be a shoe-in for motm.

@Sunrainme: In your Admincp->forums and moderators->forums then edit the forums in each forum (probably the last setting) you can set it.
At this time there is no option to set it globally as far as I know.

@All: I've got another problem now. I reset the money, now I gave everybody a certain amount let's say 100 money.
But everybody also get money when starting a thread, replying to a post etc.
I already updated the post counters but the moneyrow did not grow, still at 100 money.

What do I have to do, so the user get's also the money he has earned by starting threads and replying to them in the past?

@Blaine002: found a bug. When donating from the ACP to users, let's say 50 money to all usergroups, all goes well. This goes for multiple usergroups except at least the following one.
When donating 50 money to the usergroup "registered" the screen is turning blank and no money is given.

This is because anyone can refer someone but referring a good solid and loyal user is something else. If a users posts an article without quotes they get huge points. they can edit there post and than quote the article without losing points. Unless once quotes this mod removes the points generated? I doubt thats possible. Just be aware..

Can you explain in detail? If for example on my forum a user gets 10 points per new thread and 20 per new reply and 0 per char. How much can that user get by using your exploit?

he means if you have points per character enabled on a website, a user can simply post spam "ghfdegsuthytgfhG" to rake up a million points, then once he posted the topic he can edit it to a real topic to avoid being banned for spam.

Curious - is this happening to any users that have come to your board since you installed the hack originally? If so, you are most likely seeing the same issue I am. I have to run an UPDATE query something like UPDATE vb_user SET 'money' = 0.00 WHERE 'money' IS LIKE 'NULL'; - I'm guessing off the top of my head, but I have to do this ever so often or the new users don't get anything.

When I installed the hack, all users had money set to 0 (then I did the decimal thing - that's separate), then any new users were set to NULL. So, I had to run the UPDATE so that the new users would change the NULL values to the 0 value (or whatever I chose). Ever so often, I run the update so that all new users (since the last UPDATE) can have "points" added.

it means that every time you load a topic, icash uses 0 queries instead of one per post., yes i would reccomend updating, and remember to re-apply template change or you will have problems.
