Disable points changes for some users?

Some of my users are complaining about the points system. They don't like the fact that it makes the postbit larger or that it allows people to make their names flashy, shadowed, etc.

Others love it.

I wont to make both groups happy. Is it possible to make a usercp option so that they can "turn off" the points display in the postbit and/or "turn off" the shawows/glow effects, etc?

For now, I just made them a new skin that didn't have the vbux code in it.... but if there is a way to turn it off in their display via their user cp... ?
