REQUEST
Have a preview box, so when they go to buy a username color, glow, bold etc, they can see what it will look like. Very important when they are trying to find the right glow for a certain username color. I remember ushop used to have this, and i have so many members requesting this on my site, could this be done in the next update?
Thanks

If you enable the change always option for the item, they can change it as many times as they want without losing points again.
To do it as a preview, the action script has to be rewritten and those items must be separated into their own action files, so that would have to come when I have more time.

Okay I'll wait until you have more time, thats no problem.
however request for second feature.
If they have bought the item then its free for them to change it for x days. after x days they get a x % then after those x days it is back to the normal price again. how about this idea?

The version of ushop I had installed didn't do this. I am pretty sure I had the most recent one too for 3.0.x

Its a bit harder to do the method you are suggesting, but it would be possible providing another field was added to the user table.
Again though its something that I would look into for the future as its a bit more involved action.

I would like this too ... although I'm not complaining, there is no rush. :)
I looked at the script myself and can see how the fieilds are shared amongst different options, so I understand the difficulty
The problem with my site is that the members just don't know HTML hex codes, the real life saver would be some sort of js colour picker that they click to enter the code into the box. (or even a dropdown menu in the form so you could actually restrict certain colours)
Like I said, no rush.

I would be happy with this idea as well, and make it so we can restrict certain colors because red blue and green are staff colors on my forum and members should not be entilted to those colors IMO

Yes but the problem with restricting colors is, they can make a color that is damn close to the ones u have blocked anyways.. Say u block the word "Red" from the colors... I could choose #FF0000, #FF0001, #FF0100, #FF0101, #FE0000, etc... and it would be so close to Red the human eye couldnt tell a difference anyways...

I know, so the way to get around that would be to have the field populated by either a dropdown box or a colour picker like the one on the wysiwyg editor. (a dropdown would have to have colour names rather than hex though)
Therefore you choose what colours are allowed rather than what colours are prohibited.

Yes, I have just thought of the drop down box idea and have added support for it into v1.5.4
14) New vbPlaza Option Functionality: Inside the Input Field Settings, for actions that do not use an Item Script Location, you can enter Field Values separated by comma's to show items in a Drop Down box. How is this useful? Well if you want to make it so your users can only use certain colors for their Username. Goto Manage Options -> Colored Username -> Input Field Settings -> In the Field Value enter some colors like this -> Red,Black,Blue,Green. Enter them separated by comma's with no spaces between the words. Then when someone goes to purchase your Colored Username, they will see a Drop Down box with the colors that you allow your users to purchase. It's not as fancy as a Drop Down color chooser, but its a start. Plus with this method you can really limit certain colors to your Admins only as they can not enter their own Hex Colors that would be close to your Admin's User Titles for example.
is one of the new features added for v1.5.4 which should get released soon.

Sweet. I wonder if duplicating that code's protocol we can expand the options beyond pre-defined color schemes and use it for different purposes. Hmm...

The drop down I mentioned above will allow you to put in colors to set up predefined colors, it will be released in v1.5.4.

Oddly, it was never done. Not even in 1.5.8...
