We didn't remove anything. We modified the psds a bunch and installed it the way it was downloaded from here...exactly. BUT, we have just given the credit in our moderator/admin's forum to you now.

AR WebSolutions is our parent company owner.

2 questions:

1. What CMS are you using?
2. How did you get the side menus in the forums? I have been trying to get that for awhile to ad some adsense ads but can't get it right. Whats your secret?

Thanks

Not using any CMS. Only custom programming. Side menus are added with custom html. Nothing special.

FYI Tony - your site crashed my firefox browser. Not sure what was going on, but I hit the back button and that giant pink box kept popping up. I would close it, and it would close and send me into a forum, then I hit back and got into a loop. After three times, my browser just crashed.

Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it. This is the first time we have heard of this. Many of our women use firefox along with myself. The girls there are very good about letting me know if we have an issue and they haven't mentioned a crashing issue. We have usually 100+ registered users online at once during the middle of the day so they'll let me know today if we are having an issue.

Did you try to clear cache? (F5)

The logo image is the following: http://www.forumtemplates.com/forums/vbulletin/images/girltalk/girlTalk_01.gif (girlTalk_01.gif)

Open up the PSD file, edit the text, and save that part of the design as girlTalk_01.gif. Then upload the picture to your images/girltalk folder.

Aleah - unzip the file, upload the file inside 'Upload' to your 'images' folder in vBulletin, and then in your admin panel just upload the .xml file.

Okay, I got it showing up on my boards, but it has a ton of broken pics in it. What did I do wrong?

It doesn't sound like the images folder got uploaded to the location the skin is expecting.

Double check where you uploaded them to and make sure your skin is pointing to that location. You can check that by choosing Stylevars from the drop down box for the style in your Style Manager. The image paths are located toward the middle of the page. Those must match where your images were uploaded to or you get the broken images.

Hope this helps... :)

In the downloaded zip file will bea folder called Upload. In that will be another folder called girltalk. Upload this girltalk folder to your images/ folder inside your vBulletin installation.

Find the girltalk folder inside Upload (in the zip you downloaded), and upload the entire folder to your /images/ folder.

I would thought you had this resolved by now? Did you make full url paths to all images in StyleVars and Main CSS? You need to also edit the header template aswell to full url path to get your images to appear in cmp.

FLMom
03-08-2006, 12:34 AM
I must be a complete idiot because I am just not getting this :o

Okay, so when you say, "Did you make full url paths to all images in StyleVars and Main CSS?" would that be this~ images/girltalk/buttons & images/girltalk/statusicon? I tried it with http://www.mydomain.com in front and nothing showed up.
And with the main CSS, I found this section, but am not sure where to put the full url paths. And again with the header template, where do I put it exactly.

Remember, I have never done this before and this is all like a foreign language...very confusing, but once I get it, I get it :)

Main CSS
Look for this ' Standard CSS Attributes ' and you will see Background:#E5E5E5 url(images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif) repeat-x top left
You just add http://www.myparentconnection.com/forums/ inside the bracket in front of image path like so.
Background:#E5E5E5 url(http://www.myparentconnection.com/forums/images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif) repeat-x top left
Just find the rest and do the same, you might need to do it to all, but then it is not my style and I do not know much on it.
Also check in Main CSS in Additional CSS Definitions -> (Customized in this Style)

You need to check the header and add in this below, in front of what is there.
http://www.myparentconnection.com/forums/

I know you uploaded the file correctly, as I seen it working on forums and it was not displaying on cmp's. You just add what is above and it should work.

I think you have forum or forums

Okay, I found all of the 'Standard CSS Attributes', actually there were quite a few of them, but only two that had any type of path in it:

Table Header- Background #E0E6AF url(images/girltalk/girlTalk_07.gif) repeat

and

Buttons- Background #E0E6AF url(images/girltalk/girlTalk_07.gif) repeat

**Are these the only two I should mess with? I did try adding what you said but it didn't work. Also, I didn't see anything with gradients in it?

So the last thing with the additional CSS Definitions (customized in the style)~ It worked!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Also, how do I get this skin to be a default, so that everyone will see it?

As for defautol skin - in the administration area you can specify which template is the default.

I was wondering if I could get some guidance with this skin.

I have it setup and everything is working just fine. However, I'd like to make a modification to a background color and can't figure out where to do this.

The best way for me to describe this is with screenshots.

Here is my board:

And the change I'd like to make is like this (the alternating background and borders of the post):

I appreciate any help with this! Thanks in advance!!
