For heavens sake add a conditional in big blinking, marquee text to make it clear when a hack is in beta. People don't seem to ever check, and act shocked when they find bugs ;)

Is this the release thread for beta clarification requests or the beta to see if we need a beta clarification thread?

Well they should read, it can't be our fault if people miss what is clearly stated by forum names, posts etc.

There's only so far you can go with this...

The same people will need long support on non-Beta hacks because they don't read the instructions. Sorry to say, but there is no fool proof way of solving the fact that some people are just playing blind.

To be fair, tick-boxes aren't exactly the most usable way of displaying data. It would imply it's a form, to the less intelligent amongst us.

best thing is to install that DAMN hacks database, and have a specific section for Development and Betas... and for that section, you have to abide to a "non-stupid " agreement where people have to NOT install these hacks if they don't know what they do...

The Hack Database will be finished before the end of time... We think :)

I think the reason it's taking so long is Marco is dejected from his repeated checkers defeats. But don't tell him I said that ;)

Lol when was the last time we played checkers (or any game)?

I don't recall, but I distinctively recollect winning :p

Why not make a flashing image with some warning signs and warning text? Then use the IMG tag in your release post to display it. Make it very prominant and annoying. You only need to make it once and people can display it when releasing betas.

Here have a seizure on my account :p

Or why don't we just have a new vB3.5 forum for Beta Releases hacks!

Why don't we just upgrade and use the database. :)
