Thats the prob with forums, some peeps can read too much into what others say, ya see, many including myself type exactly how there thinking it and how they would say it, and sometimes it can look totally different to someone else reading it....

The latest announcement section seems to be pulling just a random post from the forum ID you enter. It does not pull any announcement you have made for that forum. It doesn't pull the most recent post, nor the most recent reply. Can anyone suggest if this is a bug or what in fact it is pulling? I am using 3.6.5

P.S. My font is also to large and it is not using the default for my board. Not sure why? (I am viewing in Friefox, latest version).

I don't seem to sound stupid but let me say this:

Why are you installing the 3.5 version of this mod on a 3.6.5 board? And the latest announcement for this version isn't pulled - you must set it...

^^ That's the version you should have installed. And that will pull the latest announcement sorted by ID for threads from forumid X. ^^

This has never worked properly on my board and I do not know why. It never shows how many posts and threads since the last visit, says I own 0.00% of the boards posts (when I'm close to a top poster, for obvious reasons). I'm not sure what i've done wrong -- I installed everything as told.

I like this hack a lot, I just want to make sure I say that!

Revert ZT's forumhome_welcomepanel template to get rid of his template...

There might be some bad reading in your plugin - but I didn't mess with that so I'm not sure why it would be wrong... If you want it working I could spend a few minutes this week-end looking at your site and plugins...

Hi King,

Wanted to thank you for your mod and point out a little error that popped up. After an import from another db, one of our users with an apostrophe in her name caught this unquoted part in the forumhome_start hook.

$wpsql3 = $db->query("SELECT * FROM `" . TABLE_PREFIX . "thread` WHERE `postusername`='" . $vbulletin->userinfo['username'] . "'");
$wp_user_thread_count = $db->num_rows($wpsql3);

I'm fairly new to vBulletin but for sanity:

$wpsql3 = $db->query("SELECT * FROM `" . TABLE_PREFIX . "thread` WHERE `postusername`='" . $db->escape_string($vbulletin->userinfo['username']) . "'");
$wp_user_thread_count = $db->num_rows($wpsql3);

Doh, oops, guess I wasn't paying that much attention, problem was I had this marked as Installed instead of 3.6 version. Oops, and you're welcome!

I fixed the problem, but caused my own bug... So 3.0.3 was released about 10 minutes after 3.0.2! LOL.... 3.0.4 is already in development.

I got it to work very quickly. However, as good as it is (to your credit King Kovifor), I disabled it on the basis people thought it used up valuable forum space. I'd have kept it if it appeared just the once on the forum main index, but when it keeps reappearing I found people got sick of it.

p.s. I know its collapsible, but our users thought it still used up space when it was something they only looked at when they first logged in, so didn't see the point in keeping it, even in a collapsed state. Shame, cos' its good.

Thanks for the credit... I just did the template and options. Maybe I could add something to a vB 3.6.x version that will check for their last login time, and if it's "today" or something not show the panel. Or maybe a user option for that check... Not sure.

He is saying if you don't use the default image path(forums/images), the 3 icons must be uploaded to whatever path you used and specified in the WP Rewrite options page.

If you are using forums/images, then upload the 3 icons to there, and enjoy :D The hack option for images directory setting defaults to the forums/image directory.

This worked for me without a hitch.

Click on my Username, look under the 3.6 modifications, there's a v3.0.5 update and I'm working on a 4.0 for 3.8 that should work back to 3.6.
