About this hack:
One of the biggest problems on forums as you may know is 'posts boosting'. There are users who LOVE to say 'thanks' when ever they can. How can it hurt? Their post count goes up, they have nothing to loose.
There are also users who really like to express their thanks to post but don't like posting a post that looks like they're post boosting.
Then comes the moderators who have to delete people's thanks yous so a thread can look readable with out the thanks yous thrown around.
Finally comes the posters of these useful posts. They have no idea how many people really likes their posts if only some people say 'thanks'.
What this hack does is fix ALL these problems - except those users who like post boosting. This places a button called 'thanks.' When a user clicks on it, it places his username in a box right under the post saying that so-and-so says 'thanks' for the post. Every-one who clicks is placed in one box.
By giving your users the extra feature, you forum will look allot nice and organized. It is a guaranteed liking by ALL the members of your forum.

Added securty token check for all thanks added. This will prevent a user from giving out a link or somehow making an image that will get him a lot of thanks.

FYI, ignore this. I reverted my templates (from Google ad code hack) per other threads I read then restored that code afterwards and it works.

My forum is 3 weeks new. www.allnursesunite.com I have 60 members so far and everything seems to be going very well except with the Thank You buttons. My members specifically asked for "Thank You" buttons. They appear at times and at other times they don't, usually they appear to some members but not to others, then the next day some of the members buttons re-appear and other members buttons disappear. Does any one have a clue as to what the problem may be. I am a novice with a forum so simple language works best. Thanks!
the "thanks" image/button does not show up in the thread. I have uploaded it to the appropriate folders as well. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks.
I have the same issue with comicus , the thanks button dont show on any style expect default style too , I tried default style but dont see anything happend , not show yet .
as you can i got the mod to work, BUT i wanna get it to match the current buttons I have now! as you can see in the pic it;s by it self with out a button around it

I think i see the problem. There's a half naked man hiding inside your monitor. He's probably corrupting your files! =)
Hi, would it be possible to show forum members how many Thanks (and Groans) they have available to them and/or a notification when they have used up their daily quota of Thanks (and Groans).
Maybe something next to the Thanks button in the PostBit, warning them when they have (for example) < 10, < 5 and 0 Thanks left to issue.
We limit our forum members to 20 Thanks (and 20 Groans) per day - they can be an unruly bunch - and occasionally get "bug reports" that the forum is broken as a member has gone on a Thanking spree, which is why we have the limit!
