This is an add-on to the vB Event Forums hack by Evercraft that will allow it to work with Farcaster's Event Attendance. This hack disables two of the Event Forum plugins and adds two integrated versions of the plugins in their place.

Prerequisites:Installation Instructions:
- 1 XML upload

1. Use the Product Manager to import the product file product-rah_rsvp_forums_addon_1_1_1.xml

Upgrade Instructions:
1. Use the Product Manager to import the product file product-rah_rsvp_forums_addon_1_1_1.xml and allow overwrites.

Uninstallation Instructions:

1. Uninstall the Product.
2. If Event Forums are installed, re-enable the following two plugins:
  • Display Event Details on Thread Page
  • redirect links to individual events to their threads instead
Revision Log:
1.0.0 - Initial Release
1.0.1 - A bug that occured on some boards which caused incorrect dates to display on the RSVP form has been resolved.
1.1.0 - 02/20/07 - Minor Revision - Modified the add-on for version 1.2.0 of the Event Attendance modification.
1.1.1 - 07/13/07 - Bug Fix - Corrected fetch_phrase query problem that was causing excessive amounts of queries to be added to the showthread display.

Hi,

In the threadview I want to move the calendar entry under the threadoptions. (See Screenshot).

How can I do so?

Working in 3.7 beta 4 - also installed Farcaster's mod to show which Events member's are attending in their User CP. Can't wait to see if it'll be ported for 3.7 beta so it appears in a small table like the Friends box etc!!

Cheers

it only shows the name of the event, but id like to have the date as well

Example:
San Diego Show - 2/6/2008

instead of:
San Diego Show

Just curious if anyone (Farcaster or TheMilkCarton) has made public on how to disable the deleting of the RSVPs if the time is edited or if it's even possible.

Farcaster, i see you are considering a 3.7 release, would it be possible to make this (delete or leave RSVPs on time change) an admin option in a newer version?

Thanks

One issue with the integration -- when you post a recurring event, you can not RSVP to each event separately (it appears that the events hack only creates one thread on a recurring RSVP).

I am having an issue with the RSVP not showing up. It was working and I am not sure what happened, but I can still see the options when I go to post, but it is no longer visible on the post itself. I am pretty new to adding mods. Any ideas?

few questions since this is the only place i seem to be able to get support for this:

1. how can i remove the "post reply" buttons from the calendar event view only?

2. would it be possible to have an option to email particular, not all, events to a designated CC list?

3. everytime i setup to receive an email when a new event is posted, a <P></P> is around the actual message in the email. i found the emails to be sent with $eventmessage, how can i get into $eventmessage and disable the <P> code from appearing?

1) The Calendar Event View and the Thread View are completely integrated with this suite of hacks.

2) Not within the mandate of this mod really.

3) $eventmessage can probably be edited via the templates or languages and phrases.
