Introduction
This is a continuation of my Event Forums plugin/addon from 3.5. You can find the old version here. The original plugin was developed by Endquote, and I have since taken it over to bring it to what it is today. I hope you can find it useful! What is this addon? This is a plugin which allows you to create relationships between calendars and events, giving each event a thread of its own for users to discuss. I have tested this alot, and I am running it myself on a live board.Sure, so whats it do? Some examples of the features this plugin offers
Some screenshots of this pluginHow do I install it? For upgrading, please see the section below. Summary Step 1Install the product Step 2How do I upgrade it from an old version?Calendar ID: Step 1Can I give you money to make this?Import xml This isn't a commercial plugin, and can be used by anyone for free. However, a few people have said to me that they would like to donate some money for my time working on the plugin and for picking it up and continuing the development of new features etc. If you do want to donate some money my way, then you can do so through paypal by clicking this link. What I am searching is a mod that creates a topic when a user create an event in a calender. My mistake, I wasn't really clear, sorry.
The Farcaster's Event Attendance v3 (for vb4) allows to say if a user will be a part of the event. It doesn't create a topic in a specific forum when a user create a new event. Thanks for your help. |

Are you sure for Farcaster's Event attendance https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=234741 ?
The modification list does not say that and I can't manage to create new thread in a specific forum when I add a new event. How do you do that ? May be you are refering to an old combination of Farcaster's Event attendance with a mod in graveyard (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=234794) ? Thanks for your answer. |

No, I am referring to this one.
I have the vb3 version installed on my test site, it is really no different then the vb4 version, you just need to install it on your board and play with it. I set up both on my test board but, use them separately. If I used them together, a new thread woud be created without going to the calendar page. For this demo, I will link you to the calendar to post a new event. After you post the event, click new post. Demo on 3.8 board. Code:

You're right it does create a new topic on your forum.
But not with mine. Here are the screens after I create an event with just Farcarter's mod : And I did look at the options, none of them allow me to select a forum where the events will be created. |
