TomBot v1.1 vB AI User Bot

Hi after reading the forums i have seen many people after a hack like this so here it is.

This has been installed and testing on a busy live server and it worked fine thats why im posting it in here right away.

I can not hack that much if theres a prob but i try my best to, i also add this is my first time so i have tryed my very best to make the install file easy to follow.

all the files you need are in the zip file just unzip it to your pc keeping the lay out how it is in the zip file and then following the install text file.

What does this hack do?

Basicy it add's a chat bot to a forum on your board that will reply to users posts.

if you wish the bot not to reply to a post inside of the forum its set up to reply in just add ### anywhere in your post and it will stop the bot from replying.

You may give the bot its own profile on the board eg av and sign to make it fit in abit better.

The bot will also learn things has it gets used more but if it gets to a point where it trys taking over the wrold please dont sue me.

Added more aiml files for clean install's so the bot knows more information from the start.

@ C Birch, Is their anyways to make it so it continually answers...

Example.. I'll make a forum just for talking to the bot...

Me: Good and you

Bot: Cool

thats just for instance because when I post a thread he answers... then when I reply he wont answer again... if their is anyway to do this I would love to know...

Here is my problem... when running botloader.php i get

I just installed this hack and it took me about 2 days to totaly figure out but I did it! The run was long but I finished the race. When I first started I couldn't get the botloader.php thingy to work, but I 777 every file and folder in alice and it worked like a charm. Then I couldn't figure out how to change the bots name and stuff, but xSaintDog helped me learn how to do that last night and all is great! So thanks for the help everyone who has helped, and thanks for creating this great hack.

anyone figure out how to make this work on vb3 yet?

I've managed to install it and finally get it to work flawlessly. But I don't know where to put the include "tomstalkerbot.php"; in the newthread and newreply.

Anyone got any ideas? I don't know much about php but it looks like it should be a simple translation of having the newthread/newreply php file call on the tomstalkerbot file after someone replies...

I just dunno where that spot is

Well I've just spent ages reading through the first 30 pages of this. I got board so I'm running an install on by 3.0.0 b 7 board. Hopefully it will work as the files that needed modding couldn't be done as they are not the same as they were in vB 2.

I've now tried it a number of times. I have run the sql queries before hand and all folders are CModed to 777

Can anybody at all help me? I've seen this in action before and it's something that really can be funny especially for those times when you are online and theres no-one else about (bit like this thread )

I've seen people post the same problem in here then instead of saying what they did to fix it they just come back and said 'OK now problem fixed'

Someone has to know about this. Otherwise it's the delete button when I have my monthly clearout tonight.

Well... if anybody would help... I've already got it installed, all the aiml is loaded. I'm using vb3. I just need to know how to make it post. What do I put in the files?
