Overview
This addon allows you to fully integrate a SigmaChat Java? Chat Room (free or paid service; Platinum or Enterprise required for full functionality) with your vBulletin 3.0.x forum system, including the ability to authenticate access via your vBulletin forum system, and provide a "Who's Chatting" page list showing who is currently logged into your chat room.

Features

• Chat room integrates via a single link in your vBulletin forum navigation bar, or via a forum link.
• Chat room may be placed in it's own vBulletin page, and/or as a popup window.
• Automatic user login option.
• Remote authentication script allows you to authenticate access into your chat room via your vBulletin user database.
• Complete control over which user groups are allowed access, allowed administrative access, or denied access.
• Real time "Who's Chatting" page allows you to show which users are currently in your chat room by interfacing with SigmaChat's "Who's Online Module" system.
• Makes use of vBulletin's template and phrase system for easy modification, and multilingual operation.
• Show who is chatting from your forums main page
• Automatic chat integration with your vBulletin user profiles, email, PM, etc..

Installation
Installation will require between 15 to 30 minutes of your time depending upon your proficiency in installing addons to vBulletin. Download the attached 'sigmachat.zip' file, and load the INSTALL.html file in your web browser for detailed instructions.

Hmm.. might not be the best place to post this, but anybody have any resources for creating an install script for VB3 hacks? I could do it manually for this by talking directly to the database and with some simple regular expressions, but was hoping for something a little bit more clean. (?) I think I spent most of my time working on the HTML instruction page for this hack, rather than the actual mod code which is something I'd really like to avoid in the next release. So far, and this is from memory so correct me if I'm wrong, the suggestions people are looking for for the v1.1 release are:

1. Ability to show list of who is chatting (or, optionally, the number of chatters) from the main forum page with specified update interval.
2. Option for Quick Links link to Chat Room
3. Enhancements to authentication script so that the chat room can be used both in auto-login mode, and on other pages not making use of auto-login.
4. Self installer
5. Control panel interface for chat settings (hmm, anybody know of any resources for this too?)
6. Interfaces for the SigmaChat "User List Integration" feature

Excellent integration. I've just signed up for the pro version!

A feature I would love with this would be to have opening times for the chat room. I don't get that many chatroomers and so having set times that the chat is open would be better....

Btw Chris... this is all I'm really looking to do with the chat in use indicator. Just a little something to show it's being used without having to dig into menus to find out.
