User Management in Postbit and Profile v2
Developer Last Online: Feb 2020
Small bug: vBSEO somehow affects this mod and shows to all users. It still requires them to log in as Mod, S. Mod, or Admin to use these functions though
Well, first off, a big thanks goes out to UltimateOreo! for coming up with this mod,but I made a somewhat...........for lack of a better word, neater version. Also, to the staff and anyone else concerned, yes, I got his permission to post this re-write up. This version, instead of adding directly to the postbit layout, I have it in the postbit in the users dropdown menu. Screenshots will posted later to clarify this a little more. *NOW WORKS IN THE MEMBERINFO What this does: This hack basically allows you to easily manage a user right from the postbit and profile, and guess what? No need for searching! The code allows you to click the option you need, and it will pinpoint whichever user you clicked it on.UPCOMING ADDITIONS: Make each option setting controlled by vbulletin options in the admincp ALSO TAKING SUGGESTIONSNOTE: This has been tested on vBulletin Version 3.6.4 and 3.6.5. It should run on previous versions just the same but support will be given only for versions 3.6.4-3.6.5. Also, support will only be given to those that have clicked INSTALLORIGINAL VERSIONS: User Management in Postbit for vBulletin 3.6.4 is available Here User Management in Postbit Legacy for vBulletin 3.6.4 is available HereThis modification is and will remain free to the public but feel free to Donate Supporters / CoAuthors Show Your Support

Either one, they're both the same just the window opens differently.

Little question. I just saw you have something like this for the postbit_legacy.
Now i'm using the postbit_legacy, but I already installed this hack for postbit a little while ago. Seems to work fine. What's the difference? |

Postbit, is the horizontal postbit, Postbit Legacy, is the vertical postbit. It all depends on which postbit you use for your site.

Yes I knew that, but I use this hack for the vertical postbit.
Now I've seen the other hack for the postbit_legacy. So my question is what the difference is between this hack and the postbit_legacy hack, because this hack (postbit) seems to work fine for postbit_legacy too. |

Are you talking about the first one developed by "UltimateOreo!"?
If so, if you look at his, his is displayed directly in the postbit, where it takes up a bit more room and I believe his was only template edits when he first released it. Mine, is displayed in the user's dropdown menu's in the postbit (see screenshot) so its more of a.....for lack of a better word, cleaner version. I've also made the option to have the menu's in the user profile area. |

I was indeed referring to the one developped by "UltimateOreo" because that is the one mentioned here under "similar mods".
Because yours only says postbit and his only says postbit-legacy I thought there might be a difference otherwise you would have called it "in postbit and postbit legacy". Just the seperation of these 2 names brought me to doubt. However I see now, that in fact there is no difference except you have a more clean version, which is correct because when I looked at his version a lot more code was used, which again strengthent (hope i write this in correct English) my believe that there was a difference. So there isn't and I installed yours in my postbit legacy, working great. Thanks for the explanation! |
