I'm proud to announce that the new version 1.1.0 for vbulletin 3.6.x is currently available to you all !!!



You can now nominate hacks yourself for hacks of the month. There is a link on the right of hacks on top of the files.

Function
A userbar is a small image (350*19) typically used in the signatures of forum users, to show their support for software, hardware, food, pretty much anything. The new application allows you to dynamically create userbars including several plugins to display text.

Don't forget to hit install !!!!!!!

Special

- Read the attached PDF for more information. The pdf is also included in the zip file.
- Some directories must be chmod to 777 (list included in pdf)
- vbuserbar requires PHP and the GD2 image library.
- The mod_rewrite module must be loaded as well. This is most of time on by default. If you run your own Server you can load it yourself in the php.ini. If not, please contact your hosting provider to activate it.

Current Features

Userbars for Vbulletin is created by StonyArc. The application is inspired and partially driven by the Dynabars scripts by Kenneth Watson.

Userbars for Vbulletin takes full advantage of direct integration with Vbulletin and allows users to directly create usersbars (both single and rotating as animated gif).

By using plugins other integrations are possible. The plugin creation guide is available on request.

Yes I did. It spits out no image when this option is selected. Not that important as none of my users have requested it.

okay 2 questions...i have rereredownloaded the file and uploaded it again. i have also found that the pureftp file is still there lmao i think it must just be me lol and also am i supposed to be uploading the uploadimage.php file?

stonyarc it still doesn't work...what the heck am i doing wrong???????????

okay i noticed even though i created a folder named show and chmodded it....it saves my bars to the bars folder....but anyway even if i move them it still won't show them....

Those FTP files were there when I downloaded this the other day. I just didn't upload them. Other than that it works great for me.

Okay, I uploaded everything; got it working to the extent that I even see the preview, however, when I save the image & it redirects me to the page w/ the code snippet to use to display it, the image was never saved.

If I browse to the location of where the code states, I get a file not found error.

I chmodded every folder you needed to 777,
what can I possibly be doing wrong? running 3.6.4

did you check if the file is in the cache folder?

The show folder should contain all configuration files of the individual bars.

Is modrewrite active?


It's important that the following directories exist and are chmod 777

Set the file permissions on the following directories file to 777 (chmod 777)

/bars/
/bars/groups/
/cache/
/cache/groups/
/images/content/
/designer/actions/templates_c/

i double checked and mine exist and are chmodded....i don't think i will be able to use this

Are you sure the directories are in the right place
I can create one but not save it on your site.

must be subdirs in the userbar.

Did you check the modrewrite?

positive....everything is where it should be and all are chmodded, i can save them they just end up in the bars folder
