What is this?

This add on gives your users the possibility to collect their favourite videos from some video-webpages (supported at the moment: MyVideo, YouTube, Sevenload and Metacafe) and to provide them in the forum. The videos can be commented and rated.

The Administrator has many possibilities of settings and can create video-categories and administrate the video-directory.

Installation:

1. Upload all files from the directory "root" (Keep the structure of folders)
2. The directory of videothumbnails and includes/videoserviceapi needs 777 permissions
3. Import the product-videodirectory.xml from the admin-controllpanel
4. After importing the product DON'T close the window, follow the installiton instructions!

Do you want to enhance the video-directory, but some hooks are missing? Do you want to enhance the templates and you need some template-hooks? No Problem! Send a PM and the hooks will be integrated in the next version!

I apologize if this has already been asked but there are just too many pages of comments to sift through. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction. I am using both the Video Directory and the Video Directory ForumHome products on my site to view a table of videos on the forums. There is an option in the Video Directory settings to change the active style but I use different styles for different pages. Is there a way to view the mod on multiple styles at the same time? Thank you in advance for any assistance with this.

EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot to add the statements to the FORUMHOME templates of all styles. After reading the install directions for the FH list mod everything is fine.

Does anyone know of a mod or a way to show the users latest video entry on their profile? Or the user can choose to add the video to their profile?

Just do Titles Only search for video directory. There's many add-ons for this product.

i just did a search for video hoster on google. every time i try to post a video i get 'this video cannot be embeded'. i thought it was the 'video hoster' setting that i had to edit. what am i doing wrong? do i put 'youtube.com' in the video hoster field? i re-imported the video hoster xml files

i know this is a 3.7 mod and all, but i would really appreciate any help from those who may have had luck with this

Actually, this mod was picked up by Jaxel and posted as Video-Directory Remixed. That's the most updated version.
