BB Code Enhancements - BB Code Hider Lite

THIS ADD-ON IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND IS NOT SUPPORTED

This mod hides or removes the contents of the CODE BB Code from usergroups of your choice in both posts and private messages.

* FEATURES *
--------------

• Control who can view [CODE] by usergroup.
• Replace the viewed contents in [CODE] with a message of your choice.
• Completely remove [CODE] from view.
• Removes meta tag content from prying eyes.

NOTE: This mod has been tested on vB 4.0.7, 4.1.4, 4.1.5 and 4.1.7 through 4.2.1. It may or may not work on versions earlier than 4.0.7. Please let me know what vB version you are running if there is a problem.



* INSTALLATION *
-------------------

1) Import the product XML file (product-bbchide.xml) into the Product Manager in AdminCP.

2) Go to AdminCP->Settings->Options->BB Code Hider Lite Settings, turn on the hider and setup the options.

* UPGRADE *
-------------

1) Import the product XML file (product-bbchide.xml) into the Product Manager in AdminCP. Be sure to set 'Allow Overwrite' to 'Yes'.

Screenshots are of the Premium Version - The Lite version only hides CODE tags.
The Premium Version is no longer available.

Here I thought I was the only one that didn't like it.

You can change the behavior of the 'What's New' tab back to it's original operation by going to ACP->Settings->Navigation Manager and changing the Target URL for the 'What's New' tab to ...

search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post

Then disable the Activity Stream link below the tab name.

I wonder if you could tell me if I can add a clickable link in the tag?

For example, I use this mod to hide links, and in it's place I have "please register to view links!"

Is it possible to make that part clickable to the register page?

I think I read through the thread here, and believe the paid version does this.

I could use confirmation before I purchase.

Yes, you can do that with the paid version.

Hi,
when i enable your addon on my forum, it works but it parse every bbcode like text and does not actually make letters bold , italic or coloured etc.

for example : after applying your addon on my forum text becomes [.b]text[/b] it should not do this.

please see the attached image to get what i am saying.



please help.

I am unable to duplicate the problem...



What version of vB are you running?

Also, try disabling all other add-ons to see if one of them is interfering with BB Code hider.
