If the thread ID does not set, than the name of RSS feed will be the used as title of the topic.

I installed this but nothing changed in my admin cp... RSS Feed Manager looks exactly the same- no options were added in vbulletin options- how do I use this?

OK, I made the file edits and now it works...

I thank the coder very much for this mod- this should really be a built in option in vBulletin which I think is about the highest compliment you could give a developer... but that said I have to take issue with the documentation for this mod... It's confusing and misleading.

In the top post it clearly says if you are using version > 0.5 (and this is 0.5.3) then all you need to do was upload the XML product- but in fact you have to make file edits contained in the install text file... That file lists this install as "average" but this is multiple edits to 3 different files in 3 different directories- this is the most file edits I've ever had to make for a vBulletin mod- it's still worth it but I wish the instructions were a little clearer and a little more open/honest.

Actually, it says if you are doing an Update, then all you have to do is upload the new file. It tells you to read the ReadMe text file for installation instructions.

There were file edits needed for this mod, you have to remake the edits every time you upgrade.

The plugin itself works fine but I'm constantly getting duplicate posts. Any reason?

I am having the same issue as this unanswered post:

If I am adding RSS feed with more titles (over 10) and adding each rss feed as a separate forum post, then first 10 posts in chronological order always end up on my forum on a second page (as forum posts number 11-20) and on the first page are posts older.
Obviously, it means that if newer posts are starting on a second page, then an entire thread will make no sense.
For this single reason I can't use it.
Can you provide the fix?

UPDATE:
I think it has something to do with the Date of the post.
I've manually changed the dates of all 20 posts in POST table (under dateline) and all forum post are sorted fine now.
Is there any way to add this to your script? Maybe it could use dates from RSS or something like that, because all 20 posts (in this case) had the same epoch.

I take an RSS feed from my chat and turn it into posts for everyone to read later of for those who are blocked from the chat. But because the shortest RSS feed is 10 minutes, there may be 10 to 20 chats in between each RSS call to the chat feed. This results in out of sequence posts.

For example:

First RSS check and posted in this order:
Chat Message 11
Chat Message 10
Chat Message 9
Chat Message 8
Chat Message 7
Chat Message 6
Chat Message 5
Chat Message 4
Chat Message 3
Chat Message 2
Chat Message 1

Next RSS check and posted in this order:
Chat Message 22
Chat Message 21
Chat Message 20
Chat Message 19
Chat Message 18
Chat Message 17
Chat Message 16
Chat Message 15
Chat Message 14
Chat Message 13
Chat Message 12

This results in the posts out of sequence.

Is there anyway to reverse the posting, so instead of starting at the "top" of the RSS feed and working down through it, it could start at the bottom and work up... sort of reversing the loop?

Thanks. It does work well except for this.
